Why is there a bath in the office... or an office set up in the bathroom??

Sinks in bedrooms are useful if you've got one bathroom and quite a lot of people all getting up at the same time.

Did that used to be a school? Or a hospital/ home ? One of the rooms is a very odd shape, which is presumably why there is no floor plan. Was there originally a sluice in that room which someone didn’t want to ‘waste’?

A fully plumbed sink with hot water a drain so no need to (have the maid) carry a jug of water up and down the stairs.

It's a bedroom with a trendy bath but they needed an office more.
