First thought is that's it's small for three people - who are the three, is one a small child? I can't comment on price as I don't know the area.

Depends how old your child is. You can't access bathroom without going through the bedroom. This could be difficult with an older child or teenager. Not really practical for guests either.

Pinktottenham · 10/09/2023 16:40

Beautiful home BUT its very narrow.

Think about whether you'll be able to relax if your DC is bouncing around, knowing your next door neighbour is just 3.6metres away from you max. Will you spend your life hushing them?

My last home was 3.3m wide and I used to lie in bed thinking the walls were closing in - I could hear the neighbours 2 houses away (after all, they were only 7m away!)

It's a lovely home though ☺️ you may not be as claustrophobic as me 😂

Yes small ish but this is a very expensive area so you don’t get much for that amount.
Mostly interested to know thoughts about layout and potential issues you can spot

Child is 3

It’s lovely but tiny! Would be horribly cramped with three. Can you not move further out!?

AfterTheRainComesSun · 10/09/2023 16:42

There is one bathroom downstairs although not practical for a small child at night obv

AfterTheRainComesSun · 10/09/2023 16:42

@Lelophants this is already further out!🤣

Lelophants · 10/09/2023 16:43

Sorry I thought you meant three children! Ok one is fine. There really isn’t much wiggle room though for space. Are you planning on having any more? I suppose you could build an office pod type thing out the back for storage?

Pinktottenham · 10/09/2023 16:43

I know the area well and it IS lovely!

I live in an old house with only a loo downstairs and managed ok with twins, they're in their 20's now and still manage the stairs! 😜

JumbledE · 10/09/2023 16:44

Absolutely fine for a family of three, love the kitchen diner! Might become cramped if you are planning on having more though :)

Pinktottenham · 10/09/2023 16:44

There is a loo upstairs!

Breakawaytour · 10/09/2023 16:46

Love the house btw but then I'm living in a totally impractical house so not a sensible person to comment really. My heart wins over my head

Lindtnotlint · 10/09/2023 16:46

Seems nice for a family with one kid. Downstairs mini bathroom deals with the “en-suite only” problem upstairs.

ScoobyDoesnt · 10/09/2023 16:47

I'd be tempted to put a corridor down to the bathroom, make bed 1 the smaller one and bed 2 the main room, by moving the wall/doors slightly - then both bedrooms get access to the upstairs bathroom.

It's really lovely downstairs and the garden could be lovely too.

AfterTheRainComesSun · 10/09/2023 16:48

Yes, I was answering to the PP saying the ensuite bathroom isn’t practical for guests - they’d be in a sofabed downstairs and there is a toilet downstairs too

LIZS · 10/09/2023 16:48

Nice apart from the bathroom being through main bedroom. If you can live with that seems good value.

Whinge · 10/09/2023 16:48

I really love the garden, but there doesn't seem to be much storage space.

Floralnomad · 10/09/2023 16:50

For what it is it looks very nice . I’d cry if I had to live somewhere where that is all I could get for £475000 and I live in the SE

AfterTheRainComesSun · 10/09/2023 16:52

@Floralnomad our jobs are in London and need to be well connected - we like this part of surrey, pricey but also beautiful and safe
