I can't see a link?

AuntieDolly · 07/09/2023 16:48

Am I the only one who can't see the link? Is it in Weymede?

I can't see a link either

longestlurkerever · 07/09/2023 17:05

I like it actually but I'd make sure it wasn't built with RAAC given the shape! Slightly weird thread though - if it's not for you scroll on, no one's making you buy it. You don't spend that much time looking at your house from the outside though.

PinkRoses1245 · 07/09/2023 17:05

I love the outside!! Very cool. I love midcentury style. I’d never buy a period property, don’t get it.

The second photo here shows the external view of the terrace.

I can't save the single photo, so please ignore the rest, sorry.

Embarrassingly silly price, it really saddens me what the UK become over the last 15 years or so, anyone selling should look at this graph of reality and adjust their expectations accordingly......

MotherOfGodWeeFella · 07/09/2023 16:48

Huh? There's a first time for everything. What makes you say that about the party wall?

All the walls are thin, look at the depth of the outside windows, there is no recess at all, is it single skin construction OP?

longestlurkerever · 07/09/2023 17:07

If I did buy it I'd big up the mid century stuff if I could. My friend has a 1960s house and it looks like something from Austin powers. It's awesome.

MonumentalLentil · 07/09/2023 17:07

Or Google Templemere Weybridge and look at images. Looks errr, well take a look. I would say what I think but don't want to be too rude.

GeraltsBathtub · 07/09/2023 17:09

I actually don’t mind the look! Gives me nostalgia thinking of the brutalist halls where DP lived when we met. I’d need to look at the full EPC though because I’d worry about the windows making it too hot.

sunshinesupermum · 07/09/2023 17:09

Love it. Our first home was the same style but smaller. Would love to live in a house like it again.

It's the original post not showing a link (maybe prob on the MN app?)

SatelliteStomper · 07/09/2023 17:10

I'd move the oven but otherwise it looks great! Could be a fabulous house - mid- century can look so cool.

DilemmaDelilah · 07/09/2023 17:11

It's not for me. Kitchen is tiny - look at the position of the oven! Bathroom needs upgrading. I would be worried about the windows in the front bedroom - looks as though it might be possible to see in from the house next door. But overall I don't mind the look, although I would prefer something a bit older probably.

frisseaze · 07/09/2023 17:11

I love 1960s homes. Square rooms, lots of light. Very sought after where I live. Could be stunning.

Doingmybest12 · 07/09/2023 17:11

Love it ! Of its time, not messed about with. Lots of light. It could be really cool (but hopefully not too cold ). I think homes with this kind of look , really well maintained and loved are lovely to see!

SatelliteStomper · 07/09/2023 17:12

I like the outside. There are lots of houses like that on private estates near to where I used to live, and I've always liked the look of them. So much light.

MonumentalLentil · 07/09/2023 17:13

Here

Would you but this house?
Bubbles254 · 07/09/2023 17:13

It looks lovely and bright inside with the big windows. I would budget for their replacement though as it looks like they all have condensation between the panes.

GeraltsBathtub · 07/09/2023 17:14

NotYourHolidayDick · 07/09/2023 16:56

God Jesus and everything holy, fuck no. It's worse than grim. The oven position <shudder>

What’s wrong with it? Mine’s in the same place

Squiblet · 07/09/2023 17:14

I like it but would want to see the utility bills before committing. It might cost a fortune to heat with all that glass.

hattie43 · 07/09/2023 17:15

It's really ugly . I'd only buy it if I had the money to rip it apart and start again . The plus is it's spacious and although the windows let in light in temperatures like today it'd be like living in a greenhouse.

Square rooms is the one thing this house doesn't have! 😁

MollsDolls · 07/09/2023 17:16

The houses really are on top of each other aren't they. I can imagine as another poster said that the walls are fairly thin. For that money I wouldn't want to be able to hear my neighbours or in fact have them on top of me like that.
