In need of inspiration! I currently have Dulux Mellow Mocha on the walls. Don't love it as it looks pinky/purple in certain lights.

What can you recommend me? Super bonus points if you're kind enough to share a pic

I love green shades ❤️

I actually have tranquil dawn in my living room! So I don’t think I could go for another greeny colour for the hall

Currently: green and lilac. We bought the house saying it had to go.
Hopefully some form of off white (probably almond white, unless I get massive inspiration before then) when the decorator arrives next month - stairs are the one thing I won't paint.
Probably one extreme to the other!

I have a Dulux yellow, and it's a real buttercup yellow, not orange, or brown, or pinkish based. We have it up the stairs and landing too. The light bounces off it and makes the whole area bright and cheerful. I love it.

Can't remember it's name but Lemon Pie looks the nearest.

Following for inspiration. Mine is shabby white. I'm taking next week off work to redecorate! Any suggestions welcome 😊

Can't remember the brand

Dulux nutmeg white

Roselilly36 · 05/08/2023 17:32

Dulux Natural Hessian. A shade I always come back too.

Dustycloth · 05/08/2023 17:32

Those with light colours, how do you keep it clean? Mine was soon covered in mucky marks from the kids running up & down the stairs.

sudbury yellow....which is a rich gold.....north facing hall .... warm and glamorous..

tt9 · 05/08/2023 17:37

I've been boring and have dulux alabaster. but have put up plaster coving to add detail...

I went for fennel white in my study... flax seed in my kitchen and pale walnut for bedrooms... all light colours

depends on size of hallway and look you are going for

Wilko Cornish icecream, we have it in our dining room, kitchen, hallway and living room along with sage green accents. It's a nice pale yellow but it doesn't exist anymore. The screenshot is it in the dining room

Dulux has a range called Easycare Washable but I actually used a soft sheen instead of matt which makes it easy to wipe off easy marks such as food, or mucky hands. The area suited soft sheen as the matt version sucked the light out.

CointreauVersial · 05/08/2023 17:54

@tt9 awww, thanks. 😘It was white for years, but one day I just decided I'd had enough of it, and started painting that day. I think the green works with the wood.

Dinosaurdrip · 05/08/2023 18:09

DH is painting ours with tranquil Dawn right now! It seems to be very popular. I love it, we have green in our living room too and I don't think its too much.

APurpleSquirrel · 05/08/2023 18:24

We have Dulux Sage Green.

Chypre · 05/08/2023 18:28

Dulux Shifting Sands. Never had anything remotely beige in my house, now quite like it! Warm neutral color, whites (skirting boards, covings) really pop against it.

Purplecatshopaholic · 05/08/2023 18:30

A Dulux powder blue - it’s lovely and calming when you walk in.

MetaverseMavis · 05/08/2023 18:33

Pink Drab, I get loads of compliments and the colour changes with the intensity of the sunlight. Don't skimp and get a colour match by Dulux etc, you lose the beauty of F&B intense pigments, and it will be flat and the same colour all the time.

A really boring neutral. Almond white maybe? Hate neutrals anywhere, tolerated it in hallway for a bit because it's such a big area but currently got all these samples up to pick from.

My favourite is the bottom right greeny one. DH likes the really bright blue.
