How soon after going 'live' on Rightmove before you got viewings?

House went up yesterday (obviously very early days!) but no requests to view yet. Obviously area and price will make a difference but how soon would you expect to have requests for viewings?

From a viewers side, they can take a bit to trickle into people's email alerts if they aren't checking the site daily.

Depends on market for your type of property and how pro-active your agent is. We tried to sell our old house when DD was young, we only had five viewings in as many months. We tried again a few years later, had a viewing before photos even taken and another before going on rightmove - we received an offer from that viewing, but two low. These agents got lots of people around, again another lowish offer, but third time lucky.

We went on today so interested to hear some answers on this. Last house we sold took about a week to get a viewing i think

Dartsplayer · 12/05/2023 17:50

We've had our house on since February. 6 or 7 viewings quite quickly as they were on the agent's books already then no viewings for 6 weeks. Had 3 viewings recently and one silly offer. Market seems really slow at the minute. House we've seen that we like has been on since October and still on. Good luck

We went live at 5.30pm. By 8.30 the next morning we had four requests. By the end of the day we had a couple more. Booked four in on one day, two offers immediately, one at full asking. I know we’re lucky.

That's fab! Was this recently?

We listed last month. We had three viewings booked on day one. Six more booked over the following few days. Got three offers, within two weeks all at or very close to guide price. We were quite surprised.

Rowdythree · 12/05/2023 20:10

We've been on the market for a week, we've had about five viewings and two requests for a second viewing. Only one viewing booked in for next week though so maybe it will start to slow down now the initial flurry is over. We've seen a house we like so hope we get an offer soon 🙏

@HouseMoveCollyWobbles

yes - 2.5 weeks ago! Now desperately trying to find something we want to buy! Everything is more than our budget so we keep offering under, hoping someone will bite. Currently waiting to hear on our third offer on one house…

MulberryDerry · 12/05/2023 21:33

We viewed a property last week. It was the first round of viewings after it had been published. Eight altogether on the same day. And more the next day. Sold that weekend.
We actually didn't like it. But all tastes are different.

AHugeTinyMistake · 12/05/2023 21:36

Went on the market mid-Feb. Got a viewer the next day, offered a very cheeky sum! Got 5 more viewers over the next week. Then it quieted down with maybe one a week until after Easter when we had another flurry. Just had an offer at full asking price today 👍

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 12/05/2023 22:01

About an hour. Sold in 48 hours 8k above asking price but agent was quite aggressive!!

thelinkisdead · 13/05/2023 07:28

We listed on the Tuesday evening. Had seven viewings booked in by lunch time the next day. Our fifth viewers offered asking and we accepted, so we were listed and SSTC in five days.

Fallulah · 13/05/2023 13:13

Went on on a Monday, had viewings Thursday, Friday, Saturday. Second viewing the following Thursday and accepted offer the following day. Terrifyingly quick, and frustrates me because I’m now trying to get viewings on other properties and agents are making we wait a week in some cases!

ChickpeaPie · 13/05/2023 13:28

had a viewing the day it went live and they offered asking price that day

PermanentTemporary · 13/05/2023 13:47

I think it took a few days - maybe 4 before I had the first? I had an offer of the asking price at ten days, maybe the 5th or 6th viewing. Good luck.

Mandalor · 13/05/2023 14:01

Around an hour, loads of viewings, but it took 3 months to get an actual buyer! This was this year.

Tormundsbeard · 13/05/2023 17:24

it took a week and a half after we went up on Right Move for our first viewer..

Is anyone on here selling in Bucks?
our agent keeps telling us how quiet the market is, but I worry it is just our house.. one viewer in 4 weeks now.

bjkmummy · 13/05/2023 22:01

First interested viewer within an hour, then had 4 viewings on the first weekend. Issue we had is that 3 made offers but all had houses to sell. First viewer sold first and we accepted their offer for them to pull out 2 weeks later. Had another buyer a week later and back at the 2 week sold point again - got the buyers survey on Tuesday next week so it's moving now

Flubadubba · 13/05/2023 23:02

First viewing day after. Were on for 2 weeks before getting an offer, and got the accepted offer from FTBs 5 days after that. Surprised because nothing is moving where we are.

Chain in place 2.5 weeks after (we had our eyes on somewhere so we could move quick- and our vendors did too, though we're slow in negotiating with both is and top of chain).

RM2013 · 13/05/2023 23:09

We listed our house on a Monday and first viewing was thurs - took a few weeks and a price reduction to sell - 1st buyer pulled out. House went back on rightmove and had a request same day for a viewing the following evening and they offered straight after the viewing

the one we bought went live on the Thursday, I saw it thurs evening , called estate agent on the Friday and we viewed and offered on the sat

Flitterflutter · 14/05/2023 10:48

i would be so interested to know that people are selling and where (roughly). We have been live for a couple of weeks. 4 bed, Surrey. We have had 4 viewings. 3 the first week and one this week. Had an offer but it is low. There are quite a few houses for sale in our area. We were told it is picking up in central London and that takes time to trickle out. We can’t find anywhere. Where we are looking the prices seem to be even higher than last year, so terribly over priced.

SiblingFights · 14/05/2023 10:53

Photographs done in the morning, listed in the afternoon, requests to view received that evening, first viewing 10.00am the next morning, offer received half an hour later. But this was with a non-pushy but pro-active franchised agent who is a good friend.

Fallulah · 14/05/2023 14:04

@Flitterflutter We’ve sold a two bed on Hants/Berks border. Full asking price to first time buyers very quickly.

We cannot, however, find a three bed to move to!

Prices are definitely lower here than they were before Christmas, and not as much is coming on to the market.

Palmasailor · 14/05/2023 14:24

I’m trying to buy in bucks but I think it’s all over priced at the moment so holding back.
