I drive by this house everyday. It is the size of a single garage with a small extension. I have always been curious to see what it is like inside!

Nice mould in the bedroom.

Whammyyammy · 09/05/2023 21:31

Bet it stinks with all that mould

BumWad · 09/05/2023 21:35

69 Wood St

😉

Dizzywizz · 10/05/2023 05:48

It’s tiny!!

7Worfs · 10/05/2023 05:54

140k 😶

TafeaJovouzto · 10/05/2023 06:00

If it weren't for the mould it would be lovely. The perfect size for living alone. But being detached at that size must make it very difficult to heat and insulate, hence the mould.

GoodChat · 10/05/2023 06:01

That could be a lovely little home for someone with the time and money to renovate it

C4tastrophe · 10/05/2023 06:24

That is absolutely terrible. Solid walls, on a very main road so noise will be constant, and direct on the pavement so only 2m from the vehicles, no sizes on floor plan, can’t have a wardrobe upstairs, obvious damp, downstairs floor lower than ground level, the render is cracked outside, backs onto a car park.
It should have been condemned. You’d have to be mad or naive to buy that as the fundamentals cannot be changed.

SilentHedges · 10/05/2023 06:27

It's hard to know how small it is when the agent puts no measurements on the floor plan. One of many things that irritate me about estate agents.

DaisyWaldron · 10/05/2023 06:28

My mum used to live in a little cottage with a similar layout and it was gorgeous. That one needs a lot of work, though, but it could be lovely.

Netaporter · 10/05/2023 06:29

I’d not be trusting the upper floor and no visible roof struts….auction House are also notorious for loading on buyers fees, fees on fees etc. it’ll end up being a very costly purchase at the end of it all….

icklekid · 10/05/2023 06:31

Reminds me in size of this near me although clearly different spec! https://www.rightmove.co.uk/house-prices/details/england-101913980-59520936?s=26348fd7ad5f192efe6df4d9f9c4fc02d30ca23494a4c48d6c5d86eb899d8b1f#/

C4tastrophe · 10/05/2023 06:42

Don’t auction properties need an EPC?

Theraffarian · 10/05/2023 06:54

However if you know the area , there is literally nothing else this cheap unless you are looking at shared ownership or retirement flats , so actually although no I wouldn’t want it either , if it goes anywhere near the £140k it’s an absolute bargain in the area even with the work that needs doing .

Theraffarian · 10/05/2023 06:59

At £150k / £160k there are four small flats some a bit further out from the city centre but I can see this working for a single person .

FinanceLPlates · 10/05/2023 07:01

Looks like it’s right on a main road as well. Housing in the U.K. is so depressing!

OP posts:
Bowbridge · 10/10/2023 20:21

It sold at auction for £154,000. 14K over the guide. Now up for £250k.

LaurieFairyCake · 10/10/2023 20:24

That is an ADVENTUROUS profit 😂

Missingmyusername · 10/10/2023 20:34

So you open the door straight onto a main road? Not even a door step. It’s tiny, £250k?! I wouldn’t give you £25k.

AnSolas · 10/10/2023 20:43

Thats an expensive paint job!

Bowbridge · 10/10/2023 20:46

You can't even stand up upstairs. No idea where you would store clothes.

OP posts:
Sunflowersinthewind · 10/10/2023 20:49

Is it a bungalow with stairs? Have I misunderstood what a bungalow is. Off to google

Netaporter · 10/10/2023 23:10

Dear God. Looks like a contender for the terrible estate agents photo website. Like they tried to style it but gave up when they realised someone had to make up the bed 😂

Why is the sofa facing a blank wall? Why are there only 3 dining chairs? Is it so small the dining table cannot be pulled out? So. Many. Questions. One of which still is, how is the roof supported?

KingsleyBorder · 10/10/2023 23:17

Bowbridge · 10/10/2023 20:46

My thoughts exactly. Nowhere to hang anything but someone thought that shoving a faux wood kallax in upstairs would give enough of an impression of “storage”. It’s still bloody awful.
