I like some of the style but all the wallpaper etc is farrrrr too chaotic for me. To much stuff.

GidgetGirl · 08/03/2023 20:29

I don’t like how it’s been done but that is very expensive wallpaper - Timorous Beasties.

unfortunateevents · 08/03/2023 20:31

Gosh, there's a lot going on there! What fascinates me is how everything is happening inside, all the attention has been lavished there and outside is just paving and an uncared for back garden. I'm sure the people selling love the interiors and it all looks like it has been very well done but I expect the vast majority of people who might purchase will paint it all out.

MissVantaBlack · 08/03/2023 20:34

I think it's beautifully decorated and full of character, but I'm not sure that I could live with quite so much busyness. I'd definitely keep the kitchen though, and I like the bathroom tiles too. With the rest of the house, I'd probably keep one to three walls of each room with the original wallpaper and paint over the other walls in a neutral shade, just to tone it down a bit.

Needapadlockonmyfridge · 08/03/2023 20:46

I do actually love it. It is bold but the rooms are large enough to cope.

And I want that cat lampstand!

asparalite · 08/03/2023 20:47

They certainly love wallpaper, but just way too much of it!
Lovely kitchen.

AllInADay · 08/03/2023 21:00

Paint

Fridayfeelingbeenandgone · 08/03/2023 21:06

I love it inside but very different on the outside.

Timide · 08/03/2023 21:22

Love it but once all the furniture is gone I wouldn't be able to decorate it as well as the owners did.

Whitney168 · 08/03/2023 21:25

I would probably keep (some of!) the wallpaper if there wasn’t quite so much going on everywhere else with furniture and accessories.

Bluevelvetsofa · 08/03/2023 22:26

Too much stuff, too much clash, awful garden.

I’d have to decorate every room; couldn’t live with any of it.

LibertyLily · 08/03/2023 22:52

Love it as our decorating style is very similar, although our house is older so - imho - it's more expected in ours. One or two rooms possibly have a bit too much going on, wallpaper wise, but overall the Timorous Beasties wallpaper is fab and I love the cat lamp base too.

The garden is very disappointing though. I'm always surprised when you get a house that's obviously had money and effort lavished upon it, only to find what looks like a fairly unloved, disproportionately dull garden. I know it's not the best time of year, but there's always something you can do to make the outside space more appealing. When we renovate we always start the garden as early as possible, so by the time we're finished inside we have a lovely, mature space to sit outside too.

Ruthietuthie · 08/03/2023 23:10

I instantly recognized the Timorous Beasties wallpaper. That is pricey stuff - and I love it in some of the rooms. ADORE that front room with the blue sofa and the book cases.
The rooms I would change are those that have different wall paper on each wall. That much going on makes my head hurt.
Rather fancy wall paper for what is rather a dull house, but I like their style overall.

UhhhhhhhOK · 08/03/2023 23:16

Feeling a bit nauseous after looking. Lots of nice furnishings but better in moderation. As others have pointed out, a tad too busy.

Fedupofdiets · 09/03/2023 06:00

Love the small bathroom paper but no the rest would have to go. Everything clashes with each other and I would find it too overwhelming and chaotic. Each to their own though the owners clearly love it but not sure many others would.

Imevery · 09/03/2023 06:21

I hate wallpaper but I love that house - someone has a real eye.

ohfook · 09/03/2023 06:28

I love it! It's not my style or what I'd have in my house. But I love how bold it is.

mrsbitaly · 09/03/2023 06:28

I don't like what they have done with the two wall of different wallpapers in some of the rooms but it is pretty amazing what they have done. If you like it maybe keep one wall of design and the other painted it will make the place look so much bigger

JamBiscuitBun · 09/03/2023 07:02

Love it, love it, love it! And SO many books. They must be very interesting owners, I'd love to pop over for a coffee. The only shame is that the garden doesn't have the same pizazz.

AuntieJoyce · 09/03/2023 07:05

I think the only room I could live with is the downstairs toilet. I’ll be there all the time with my dark glasses on Grin

incognitodorrito · 09/03/2023 07:06

It looks like an influencer of some sorts house. Gorgeous wallpaper.

Lampzade · 09/03/2023 07:08

Bit too much for me.
Love the individuality though.

WeAreTheHeroes · 09/03/2023 07:08

Do they run a wallpaper shop? It's one thing to have statement wallpaper, but multiple different designs in so many rooms? By the time I got to that bedroom with the daybed I needed it to calm down. I'd find it migraine inducing irl. Can't understand all the posts saying they've got great style. It's bloody awful and will likely make the house harder to sell.

SkyandSurf · 09/03/2023 07:14

I love some of it, but collectively it's a bit too much stimulation for me. I like my home especially to be more relaxed.

I'd probably keep one or two rooms with the same wall paper but tone down the rest.

Maybe life with it a while and see?

Bigmirrorssmallrooms · 09/03/2023 07:14

I’m stunned folks love that, there is far too much clashing wallpaper and no harmony. It’s awful. And I say that as someone who has their fair share of bold expensive wallpaper. For me some of it can stay but much of it paint.
