Is this a real horses head?

I know this board likes an unexpected surprise in a house listing… I spotted the deer in the living room - not at all what I would choose to have in my house but I do eat meat so probably don’t have a leg to stand on - but is that the head of a horse? In the dining room?! Is it real? What do you think?

@ifIwerenotanandroid isn't that a tomato??
Still doesn't make sense but I'd be worried if my arse looked like that (with or without an octopus up it!)

I've seen The Godfather too many times because when I read the thread title I was expecting it to be in someone's bed and not on the wall.

@emmathedilemma

(a) why a peach-coloured tomato, though? And why so big?
(b) we must all make allowances for artistic interpretation (which I guess explains (a) as well).

WTAF?!

Screenshot from the virtual tour - note the picture on the wall.

I'm also intrigued about what's going in the downstairs bathroom though - some rooms looks quite modern, then the bathroom is full of trinkets around the loo. The worst place for them - would hate to think of the germs on them!

If it is real, it won't be very heavy- they stretch the skin over a wire and fibreglass frame. Child me found it very unimpressive, as I'd been assuming people somehow removed the 'meat' parts and carefully stuffed wadding into the gaps that left, with the skeleton still in situ.
