Perfect doer upper if you’re prepared to move the kitchen. Not if all you want to do is rip up the carpets and paint.

BumbleNova · 23/10/2022 14:10

I really like it! I think it’s got loads of potential. Bed 4 is a bit small. Is it priced to do up?

as I sure you know, costs right now are absolutely eye watering so something to bear in mind. We are in the midst of our own renovation and our budget has more than doubled.

userxx · 23/10/2022 14:11

It could be amazing with lots of money thrown at it!

QuebecBagnet · 23/10/2022 14:12

Oh I love it. It’s all fairly cosmetic from what I can see. Obviously need to get electrics checked, etc. but it’s perfectly habitual. New carpets, curtains, different furniture, paint the walls and it will look so different. I actually like the kitchen units. Long term I’d be tempted to knock the breakfast room and top part of the kitchen through and have a squarer kitchen. Then have the bottom end of the current kitchen as a utility room.

AlsoknownasOther · 23/10/2022 14:12

I love it, looks like it just needs my own colours on the walls.
Also I'm a bit weird and love that carpet.

sittingonacornflake · 23/10/2022 14:15

Looks lovely!

OldEnoughToHaveReadBunty · 23/10/2022 14:16

Lovely 3 bed house. I would be put off if we actually needed to use bedroom 4 as a bedroom though.

Fritilleries · 23/10/2022 14:16

Thanks all.

I love it. The kitchen definitely needs moving though.

QuebecBagnet · 23/10/2022 14:16

Sorry, my annoting skills are shit. But like this. So one slightly larger sitting room at the front. A nice kitchen which would probably have room for a dining area in it across the house. With a utility room off it. Then either open plan to a second sitting area at the rear or even glass doors across if you wanted some separation

House across the road is over offers over 350: 3 bed, swish kitchen diner extension etc. No garage, utility and 3rd bedroom is small. Puzzling over 349 asking.

I can’t find that one on RightMove? Has it sold?

RosesAndHellebores · 23/10/2022 14:28

Over priced for the area/decor
1.5 miles from closest station makes it a nonfor me - in any condition.
£310k tops.

Thymely · 23/10/2022 14:30

The kitchen is disappointingly small and I would prefer a bigger garden for the size of the house. I agree with the plan to incorporate the breakfast room into the kitchen, but the wall I would want to take down looks like it's structural and there is probably already a beam resting on it where the gap in the original outside wall was opened up to make the entrance to the breakfast room. Looks like a nice house, but I have no idea of prices in that area.

SnarkyBag · 23/10/2022 14:32

Loads of potential but I can foresee a lot of money being needed, particularly for reconfiguring the kitchen. Don’t know the area so have no idea if that’s a good price.

LondonQueen · 23/10/2022 14:33

Perfectly good if you're willing to move the kitchen. It could be a lovely family home.

That sold one looks plain
I do like the one your umming over.
Like pp have said lick of paint and revamp over time.
The cross above the bed makes me think of the exorcist though 😬

jonesy1999 · 23/10/2022 14:52

LOVE LOVE LOVE

It's appeals to me as it is. If it were me I would buy it and live in it for a while and have a good think about how best to do it up / knock rooms about etc.

A lot of potential.

It will cost you an absolute fortune. Layout is awful.

LizzieBet14 · 23/10/2022 15:03

Just make sure you add at least an extra £5k to whatever you think the budget is.... We didn't and still haven't finished the work...

statetrooperstacey · 23/10/2022 15:03

I really like it, I also wouldn’t call it a doer- upper ?!! It’s just a bit dated/ not to your taste surely? Can only see cosmetic work really which you would probably want to do wherever you moved. I’d rather live with someone’s old kitchen that I didn’t like than someone’s new kitchen which I didn’t like, as I wouldn’t feel like a could justify changing a new one.
