Panicking about kitchen colour - DIY kitchens

I've ordered my kitchen in Heron Grey and have until tomorrow to make any amendments. I am worried I will regret the grey. I wanted a nice blue really but worried about it dating. I don't love the only standard blue that DIY kitchens do (Cobham blue) but I'm now thinking it's better than grey - it's a decent sized rectangular room and i'm having white marble effect quartz worktops and probably borrowed light (v pale blue walls). I don't want to wait for a bespoke colour so need to pick between the two - help!!

Looks very smart, OP. Going to see our new kitchen that just been finished later on today, I hope I like it, we were intending on grey and ended up ordering Sage, bit too late to worry about it now 😂

Great work! Love the blue- great choice!

Oh wow it looks fabulous! Is the quartz worktop also from diy kitchens?

Blueuggboots · 08/10/2022 21:43

ZooTropia · 08/10/2022 21:44

The quartz is from a local supplier - I'm in the north west. I went with cornflower white for the walls which is a very pale blue. I got a tester of borrowed light and didn't like it. Happy with all my choices so far!

It looks so good! Thank you for the update, too! I have this blue on my wish list for when we do our kitchen and it's so nice to see it in a "real" kitchen. It looks really lovely. I'd be so pleased x

My mum has a yellow painted kitchen. The units don't look dated at all after nearly 30 years, but the tiling and coloured appliances give away its age.

Go with the colour you love. Chan once flooring and tiling when you want to refresh the look.

I am getting a black kitchen put in, grey flooring I think and the walls are going to be pink

Lovely (but I'm bias because I have a blue Howdens kitchen!)
Enjoy!

Looks lovely OP. Would you mind dm ing who did your worktops please? We are going for a blue kitchen and are in the northwest. We want white quartz worktops.

Oooo can I piggyback in this too please? We’re also looking at the blue and quartz combo

The worktops are from Mister Marble who have a showroom in Bury. Mine is carrera quartz which is white with a subtle marble effect.
