If you have or could have a garden room/cabin in your garden what would you use it for?

I'll be totally straight with you all. I've taken on a new client that sells wooden log cabins and I'm looking for ideas to dress their show cabins.

They have the normal ones like gyms, bars, offices etc just wondering what else I could suggest With your help.

Summerhouse?

Lemonnhoney · 05/07/2022 20:25

Art room, kids room, cosy book room with massive book shelf and comfy chair (that would be my dream)

heldinadream · 05/07/2022 20:27

Painting studio and mini gallery.

They are really popular as craft rooms. I'm on a few Facebook pages for people who sew and it seems like it's a bit of a thing at the moment for people setting up garden rooms to do their sewing/quilting/pottery etc in.

I'm an illustrator so mine is my studio! I've also got friends who have ones set up as pottery studios, printmaking studios, sewing room etc.

A yoga room. All warm lights and soft furnishings but still minimalist and smelling lovely.

Shinyandnew1 · 05/07/2022 20:31

Office for DH to WFH or a room for teens to lounge around in.

Discovereads · 05/07/2022 20:32

Man cave at bottom of garden.

purplecorkheart · 05/07/2022 20:33

A reading nook. Bookshelves, a really comfortable arm chair with a footstool. Cosy lamps. Maybe a old style writing desk. An old fashioned looking kettle some china cups and saucers etc

It's been a while since I've had teens so, tv with bean bags and low tables kind of thing?

Children playroom. Someone I know converted one into a beauty room (she was a beautician).

Savingpeoplehuntingthings · 05/07/2022 20:36

Library, music room. Somewhere to get peace.

ISeeTheLight · 05/07/2022 20:37

Rather than "mancave" a "woman's cave". Library, coming sofa, maybe a crafts area (sewing machine, fabric storage etc)

Music room - drumkit, anything noisy, recording studio

SparklyAntlers · 05/07/2022 20:38

Craft room. I have mine set up with a sitting desk and a standing workspace, my craft tools hanging on a pegboard on the wall, my supplies organised on shelves. Look at craft rooms on Pinterest and you'll find tonnes of inspiration.
My husband has dreams of turning it into a music room some day.
Also could be used as a teenage hangout, a meditation and relaxation room - so many possibilities.

ISeeTheLight · 05/07/2022 20:38

I’d buy a shed and do it up save £££s then I’d make into a play centre for spiders to weave their cobwebs as much as they like. Love the smell of gardeners shed

Pool room (the game, not swimming)

Duvetdweller · 05/07/2022 20:58

We had one built in lockdown and put a sofa and tv etc in it as well as my peloton. Kids didn’t use it as we thought they would so now it’s just a gym and I love it.
