What about Epping forest way like Epping?

You get less for your money but a lovely place to live on the central line (zone 6). Some parts of Loughton are very nice too

Hmmm too far out

Epping is definitely not further than Hornchurch!

I wouldn't live in Hornchurch myself as it's far too close to London for my liking. Chelmsford is million times nicer than Hornchurch in my view! And you would get more for your money.

Towie Essex is very much south west Essex, eg. Loughton, Epping, Brentwood. It's a huge county. My Essex looks nothing like that. The Essex I know and love eg the Blackwater Estuary and the Dengie Peninsula.

Heyyyy. What about Chigwell?!

Seriously though, anywhere is TOWIE these days as half of Loughton have moved out and it's actually got quite mixed. It took me a while to like this area but lockdown did it with a huge forest on my doorstep. Only a few of my Mum friends are English and those who are, aren't 'Essex stereotype' at all (even those who grew up in this area). Don't be so snobby!

I know the area very well indeed. Funnily enough, the most 'Towie' people I know, are people who have moved into the area from such far-flung places as Glasgow, Portsmouth, Cardiff and East Ham. I do wish people would stop judging the area by a load of wannabe celebrities.
Anyway, the house itself looks a reasonable size for the price. The decor is something you can alter fairly easily, so I would be more concerned about the room sizes, number of rooms etc. The map suggests it is nearer the Glanville Drive end of the road, rather than the North Street end. Ifb that case, you are about a ten minute walk to Upminster Bridge Distruct Line Station and about five mibures from bus stops heading towards Upminster and Romford. Upminster is on the C2C line, if you need Liverpool Street, there is a small 'halt' at Emerson Park, which has trains to Romford. The town centre is OK, but you are also within easy travelling distance to Upminster, Romford and Lakeside. There are several good schools nearby, both primary and secondary. Hornchurch also has a decent library and The Queens Theatre is well respected.
We lived in Chelmsford when we were first married as that was where we could afford to buy and still have friends and family there whom we visit regularly. To be honest, I think it is swings and roundabouts as to which is 'better' - there are things to like and dislike about both. I liked Chelmsford, but I like Hornchurch more.
