How much for a new front door?

Just been quoted what I consider to be a fortune for a new front door and just wonder what others have paid.

Composite with new frame, so not just the door but a complete new installation. Can anyone tell me what they paid for similar?
Thanks

We were quote around £3k end of last year for Solidor as well as surround side lights and top light.

I'd prefer wood but the quotes were extortionate. Latest about £8k for same spec as the Solidor one.

@PigletJohn insulation, mostly. The current wooden frame has rotted and is letting in water. The door itself is wooden and very drafty. So was hoping that a full refit would stop the drafts and wouldn’t have to worry about repainting etc to prevent rot.

Have been quoted double what most people here have paid so will try so more companies…

how old is the rotten old door?

has it been neglected, asnd is it exposed to rain?

I ask because a good wooden door and frame has a life expectancy of over 100 years, and costs less than modern artifial ones.
