Hi, I would really like help with information on nice areas to live in Milton Keynes. We are looking to move to MK in the coming year and would really like advice on where to live and where to avoid. My kids just got into a school in Mk so moving is a done deal.

Hi I used to live nearby so can help with areas!

I know MK well, what's the school then can give you a low down on the areas nearby

Hi, I’ve lived in/around MK all my life, if you’re happy to say which school your children are going to I can suggest some areas!

There's a few comments on this thread you might find helpful. I like the older outskirt parts like Stony Stratford but some of the new estates are lovely.

Where is the Webber school? What will you be doing for transport - will you drive or do you want to walk? MK is a funny layout so that answer will really affect where you look. And also, do you prefer a new build estate or something a little bit older?

I grew up around Stony Stratford and Two Mile Ash so much prefer that side of the city, but it could be the wrong side!

The Webber School is in Stantonbury I think! I’d avoid most of the estates around there to be honest (Stantonbury, Bradville, Heelands) unless they need to walk to school. Have a look at Newport Pagnell, Red House Park, Oakridge Park and Great Linford which are all near by - depending on budget!

It is probably worth having a drive around and getting a feel for the area as it’s quite unique! Most places in MK are easily accessible by car, you can get from one side of MK to the other in about 20 minutes driving but public transport can be a bit hit and miss.

Other nice areas which are further from The Webber School are Stony Stratford and the new estates nearby (Fairfields and Whitehouse), Oakgrove, Monkston, Milton Keynes Village, Brooklands and Broughton.

Hopefully that helps get your search started!
