@Callmejudith that is so addictive - I did the same in our hall only it was months before we started!

I thought I’d have to pay for the whole
Hallway to be plastered but actually it’s in incredibly good nick under the shit wallpaper.

We have knocked through under our stairs to access the side extension and it's really opened up the hallway. I thought it may make the space feel cramped but it's the opposite.

@PoshWatchShitShoes I'm so pleased with the overall effect. It used to be the downstairs toilet!

Thoughts on dark green for the hallway?

@Callmejudith I love dark green. I'm having it for my sitting room with brass lights as I'm going for "the gentlemen's club" look!!

@Callmejudith as long as you have good lighting.
It's a fab colour lit well but can be a bit dull with the wrong lights.

Yey!!

We are considering opening up under the stairs too as was a loo that’s not working now. It’s a different layout to yours though, not sure how it would look. I know it will just be a black hole dumping ground if I leave it as a cupboard.

@LivingInABuildingSite ours is the doorway to the new dining room plus a small cupboard to house the underfloor heating manifold.

We are due to move back in on Friday so the UFH and screed need to be done and hopefully the floor tiles. Our decorator was due to start tomorrow but has been delayed so coming Wednesday but then dropped the bombshell that he can only do a week and then could come back February; what the F*? We booked him last year for a month!! 1 forward, 2 back!

@Callmejudith I know - really not impressed but unlikely to get anyone decent prior to February now so probably going to have to suck it up! We are going on holiday late January so hopefully he can crack on while we are away!

That is ridiculous!

Glad you had your roast dinner!

I think the plaster will be just about dry. We need to sort a visit to the kitchen people.

I think the builders will move to the side extension and start plaster boarding in there as the glasswork came earlier than expected.

Then, they want to move to our current tv room - will mean storing the sofas in the rear extension and somehow relocating the tv to the front room. Which already has:
A chest freezer
A fridge freezer
A table and 8 chairs
2 random sofas
Various hand me down bookshelves covered in a variety of crap
Musical instruments
Cat towers & cat bowls
Other assorted shite

Add in the tv and machines will be perfect. Lol.

Enjoying the open fire tonight as the house is cold! 🥶 if they take over this room then no fire either.
