However, am not sure I think our kitchen worktop works with it all that well... What do others think? This is our remaining piece of kitchen. The extended kitchen area is going to be the same kitchen, because we don't need to replace the part we're keeping.

Ignore the fact the dishwasher door is knackered, it's being replaced like for like as it's still under guarantee.

@Indecisivelurcher

Loving all the photos, the tiling looks lovely, really nice.

My flooring has gone down today! Which is amazing! It looks lush. And, no more dust!!!

Beautiful floor!
PoshWatchShitShoes · 29/10/2021 20:10

Love your new floor @Indecisivelurcher 🤩

Callmejudith · 29/10/2021 20:59

Oh wow the floor looks beautiful! So shiny and clean and lush!

I quite like the worktop and floor, do you have a pic showing more of the existing worktop?

I adore the flooring @Indecisivelurcher. Apologies if you've answered this but what is it - engineered wood?

Indecisivelurcher · 29/10/2021 21:23

Here we go.
I'm coming round to it actually. My mum said it's OK 👌 At practically 40 I still ask my mum of course.

@NewHouseNewMe its actually karndean. We have the same in our living room, it's at least 15yrs old if not 20, and not a mark on it. So we've had it extended throughout.

NewHouseNewMe · 29/10/2021 21:48

I've also had Karndean and Amtico and both were amazing. Despite numerous pets, kids, bikes, footballs studs and skates hammering it for years Grin
Good choice!

Indecisivelurcher · 30/10/2021 08:05

Torrential rain here all night and still going now, all we've got covering our skylight hole is a piece of ply and it's starting to drip through it now onto new floor...

NewHouseNewMe · 30/10/2021 08:12

We had a major leak and my Karndean survived so you should be fine. Just put as many receptacles as you can under it.

Can anyone safely access the roof to put tarpaulin over the ply?

PoshWatchShitShoes · 30/10/2021 08:19

Sorry to hear about the rain coming in @Indecisivelurcher. Wonder if you're near me, as it's bucketing down here too.

Tarpaulin idea is a good one if you can get up there

Callmejudith · 30/10/2021 09:00

Oh yes it looks lovely in those pictures. Sorry about the leak though. It’s peeing down here I’m too scared to go and see if anything has leaked at ours

My DH despite being very hard work this week has played a blinder today; bought a brand new tikamoon vanity unit from Ebay that I wanted for £250 ( original cost £1400); it was delivered today in original box and packaging. Plus I wanted Rak porcelain tiles for the ensuite at £60 per sq m but we needed 34 sq m so he vetoed it and we ordered some that looked similar from Tile Mountain @ £20 per sq m. They arrived today .....and are Rak in the branded boxes! I knew I loved him for a reason!!

PoshWatchShitShoes · 30/10/2021 21:31

Thanks @nomoneytreehere. That one looks lovely. I also like the Burlington one. I'm going to call the bathroom shop on Monday and ask where I stand if I cancel order

PoshWatchShitShoes · 30/10/2021 21:31

Fantastic @MissFritton65 👏 Would love to see photos of both

MissFritton65 · 30/10/2021 21:45

@PoshWatchShitShoes

Fantastic *@MissFritton65* 👏 Would love to see photos of both
I can only show you the boxes at the moment.... however I'll post pictures as soon as in place.
MissFritton65 · 30/10/2021 22:12

He is brilliant at finding bargains; we've saved over £4k on the one bathroom due to him trawling the internet.

Hothammock · 30/10/2021 22:26

@PoshWatchShitShoes just to flag (having had similar issues with so many things this past year) that the line to take is that they are in effect cancelling the contract to supply the bath due to their failure to deliver it in a reasonable time frame, and therefore need to provide a full refund. Obviously you will want to word it in a less provocative manner but you don't want to imply you are cancelling as then you may only be entitled to a partial refund.
While the delays may be out of their control, don't feel sorry for them and end up getting tricked into losing money on this. It is not for you to fund problems in their supply chain!

WabsicleCat · 30/10/2021 23:31

Hello.
Can I ask exactly which style of Karndean? It looks lovely.

WabsicleCat · 30/10/2021 23:32

That was @Indecisivelurcher

Indecisivelurcher · 31/10/2021 06:02

@WabsicleCat it's the art select range in the colour summer oak

WabsicleCat · 31/10/2021 06:27

Thank you very much! Have you gone with a design strip between the planks or is that a bevelled edge to each one?
