Do you still look at Rightmove

Even after having offer accepted?

I feel like I shouldn't, the house I've offered on is suitable for me. But always that idea of keeping eyes open as anything could happen.

Lived in our house 8 years with no intention of moving. I still look !

WhatHaveIFound · 28/05/2021 15:30

13 years in our house and no plans to move until the DC have left home in maybe 5 years. Still look at Rightmove every week.

Muuuuuuuum · 28/05/2021 15:30

What Rainbow said. I'm a perpetual househunter.

DaphneduM · 28/05/2021 15:30

Moved a couple of years ago - never moving again if we can help it. I look at Rightmove every day.

Ilovemycat13 · 28/05/2021 15:30

We got an offer accepted a few weeks ago. I still look! Out of pure curiosity that if we hadn’t got our house.. what else has come up? Not a lot, as it goes.

Feellikeimsinking · 28/05/2021 15:31

I look at rightmove every day or second day as well as the equivalent in my home country.

SingingSands · 28/05/2021 15:32

It's practically my main hobby Grin 18 years I've lived in this house, but I still look!

Emmelina · 28/05/2021 15:36

We’re not even thinking of moving at the moment. I’m just nosey :)

Cheeseycheeseycheesecheese · 28/05/2021 15:42

Yup, not thinking of moving for at least a year, but been window shopping and making up stories about the current home owners (do this with dh about other couples when we're out too) since I bought my current house.

Moved into our house nearly 3 years ago now and I still look!

TokyoSushi · 28/05/2021 15:47

I look at it most days, we've no intention of moving!

tabctrlnoanykey · 28/05/2021 15:51

This is my fear. I am an addict, it’s been 1498 days since I last didn’t look at right move at least three times a day!

I can’t see how I’ll be able to delete the app and move one once I get my dream house! Maybe I’ll start an RM anonymous support group!

EssentialHummus · 28/05/2021 15:56

I started checking RM in 2011, looking for my first flat. I still check that postcode and the two neighbouring postcodes daily, as well as the area where I let out a property.

NothingIsWrong · 28/05/2021 15:59

Bought our first house in 2004. Can't even remember if Rightmove was a thing then but I've probably checked it most days since. We've actually moved twice, the second time to a house I stalked on RM and fell in love with.

CallMeCleo · 28/05/2021 16:00

I get emails about new properties for sale in my town even though I have ZERO intention of ever leaving my home. It's a kind of porn.

mongoosebaby · 28/05/2021 16:04

@DaphneduM

Moved a couple of years ago - never moving again if we can help it. I look at Rightmove every day.
Yep, this! It's like a weird hobby 🤣
LubaLuca · 28/05/2021 16:08

I will never stop looking at Rightmove. I have no intention to move house ever again.

Whereverilaymycat · 28/05/2021 16:28

Yes. In fact it was after continuing to look at Rightmove after having an offer accepted, that meant we ended up here. Much more suitable house and a road I had thought was beyond our reach.
I love it here and I still look most days. I’m just eternally nosy and love looking at floor plans and how I’d change them. It definitely warrants some kind of support group!

CyberGhost · 28/05/2021 16:33

Honestly, I just love looking at houses about the area! I know when I am moving and up to actually having moved all our stuff into a new place I keep an eye out "just in case" though.

crimsonlake · 28/05/2021 16:45

It is catching, I moved 3 years ago and since then I look every day.

Andthenanothercupoftea · 28/05/2021 16:49

Not at the moment. I really like the house we are buying and I don't want my head turned by anything else or any "what ifs". I did panic look when I thought our sale/purchase had fallen through and was worried/relieved to see there was nothing comparable.

AlfonsoTheMango · 28/05/2021 16:50

I look because I enjoy comparing my house to what I could get for the same amount of money. I've yet to see anything I like better.

BrieAndChilli · 28/05/2021 16:59

i think i have looked at rightmove most days for the past 10 years of so!! for most of those years it was a - in case we ever scrape together a deposit and get a mortgage what coudl we get (and the obligatory if i win the lottery what housewould i get!) we finally bought at the beginning of this year but I sill look!

I've always liked houses - when i was little i would draw housepplans and used to the pplay the sims - just to make the houses!

RolloTomassi · 28/05/2021 17:06

If I could have just 1 app on my phone it would be RM! I look at it allll the time!
