What have your experiences been like ... service, quality, cost ... ?

Thanks.

I have a wren autograph quartz blue kitchen with driftwood worktop.
It’s good quality, the units are well put together and strong.
I didn’t use their fitters and sourced my own hob and sink, the price they wanted for black glass was 3x the price I paid. We paid a carpenter to fit the worktop, sink and hob, we did the rest.

GenderApostate19 · 08/03/2021 13:07

Ours was £3600 for a tall unit with oven and microwave, 1m wide set of 3 drawers, 3 x 1m base units, 1 x 50 base unit and 6 wall cupboards, one with extractor and 5 metres of worktop. Plus an extra large panel that was made into a wide door to cover my non built in washer.

I’ve read some bad reviews since I had mine fitted about 5 years ago, but honestly have nothing negative to say. Friendly sales person who gave us some great ideas for layout we hadn’t considered, good quality units for the price, plus a free wine fridge and dishwasher (actually free, they forgot to include it in the final price but honoured the initial quote which clearly stated appliances to be included)..
The fitter was a local chap they contracted, excellent, fitted it all in 2 days, very tidy, good quality of finish.

Was on time, good quality install, no complaints.

MozzchopsThirty · 08/03/2021 13:39

Excellent!
My own installer cocked up one of the doors and Wren replaced it free of charge
Delivery was great, lovely sturdy cupboards with 25 year guarantee

Guiltypleasures001 · 08/03/2021 13:44

Google them op

They have their own Facebook set up by customers to warn others not to use them

We have a wren kitchen although we got a friend of ours who is a carpenter to fit it rather than paying their ridiculous fitting fees. No issues at all other than an issue we discovered when getting the worktops template and we found the sink wouldn't fit with our tap. Wren swapped the sink for us no problem, we just had to wait an extra week for the worktops as they had to be re templated. We also managed to get some panels refunded as the fitter didn't use them

Whatdoesitsayaboutyou · 08/03/2021 14:26

When I had my kitchen fitted the carpenter said he'd fit any kitchen except wren (because there's always bits missing/damaged items and they take ages to send replacements). Hence I didn't go with wren.

Orangedaisy · 08/03/2021 14:28

Love ours, excellent customer service (only company that I could find that would design the kitchen from afar (I was overseas)). Delivery guys were the most polite tradespeople I met (built a whole house so I met a lot). Used own fitters. Replacement parts came in no time. Quality is fine, we didn’t get top notch but it’s food for what we paid.

Orangedaisy · 08/03/2021 14:28

*fine

We got a Wren kitchen about 3 years ago and it still looks fab and I love it.
It really helped that the fitters we had were brilliant as have heard that the kitchen is only as good as the fitter themselves .
We will go for another one in our new house as we found them really reasonable as well as good quality .

We needed an end panel and it came in 3 days .

They’re cheap rubbish but if that’s your price range then they’re acceptable. It’s the kitchen equivalent of buying your clothes at Primark.

GenderApostate19 · 08/03/2021 18:49

Not everyone can afford Smallbone of Devizes 🙄

I've not head good things. A friend had a kitchen from them last year. First the delivery was delayed by weeks, then when it arrived it was missing some units, took a lot of sorting to arrange to get the missing units delivered... when the delivery van arrived to deliver the missing units it turned out they hadn't been loaded onto the van!! So followed another week of having to wait... they were awful.

pinguwings · 08/03/2021 20:06

DH worked as a fitter for them very briefly. He doesn't have a good word to say about them. Awful, awful company.

MustDust · 08/03/2021 20:08

I know 2 people close to me with them, the kitchen and the service has been crap.

Pancake4life · 08/03/2021 20:10

they were about 5k more expensive than the "same" kitchen type from.howdens for me. it probably did look a bit nicer but not 5k nicer.

cptartapp · 08/03/2021 20:16

No problems with ours. No missing or broken bits. Still looks good.
Didn't use their fitters though as the quote was extortionate but no complaints about the kitchen at all.

rose69 · 08/03/2021 20:25

We stupidly used their fitters. It was a nightmare and I fell cross every time I walk into the kitchen. In the end I had to go to the store in order to wait to speak to the manager who refused to do anything over the phone. If you have a sense of humour and want a cr&P outcome then go for Wren

They’re dirt cheap because they’re crap. Loads of other people have also said they’re crap. So why is it mean for me to say that but ok for others?

HCHQ · 09/03/2021 08:50

Thank you for all the replies ... the lid is going back on this can of worms!!

Because you comment was massively snobby and you know it.

They're not all dirt cheap kitchens... Ours wasn't

For the love of any god you pray to .DO NOT go near WREN. They are a disaster and the way they scam customers with commission based selling is wrong . suggest you locate a good fitter and buy from “DIY kitchens”. Very honest and good company .
