We are about to start work on a new kitchen diner extension. Our builder - who we know personally and has done previous building work for us - has recommended that we go with Wren and his team will do the fitting. Apparently he’s fitted 4 or 5 Wren kitchens over the past year and they’ve all been great quality. When a part arrived with a chip in it it was replaced pretty much instantly. We’re certainly going to visit the local showroom after lockdown for a look to see what we think.

Oh, and I’ve never set foot in Primark.

With WREN the secret is to “walk away” . Dont agree or pay etc until they come begging .And they will !!!! Get it all costed and then wait for as much as 50% off . I know people who have got slightly more . I dont care what people say about them been good for aftersales etc .Once the sales guy has his commission , they dont show any interest in the buyer as a norm . The fact is from the start they want to cheat you .Thats a good enough reason not to continue . Please do google searches and remember WREN are forum bullies etc .They try to force negative posts to be removed by threats from lawyers .

We didn't experience anything like that all. We got approx 50% off the list price with no hard bargaining at all.

Then you might have got 60-70% . The only official list price is what the company wants from the sale .The rest is commission to the sales guys etc .

Having had a previous bad experience with another retailer when we ordered expensive furniture, my advice to anyone would be to take the interest free credit option if it’s available, thankfully I did this and the finance company were fantastic, stepped in negotiated a resolution and even applied a gesture of good will credit for my inconvenience.

I usually pay upfront, but I learned a valuable learn, if I am making a big purchase, I would always take a credit option now. I know from a relatives experience with the same retailer they did nothing to help her at all, unfortunately she paid upfront. We would have been in exactly the same position had we not signed up for credit.

Very good advice .We dont ever use credit as such but we do pay with a credit card and just pay off 100% each month .You get a lot of protection

We had a wren kitchen- it was beautiful and a bargain. We used our own carpenter rather than their fitters. It looked far more expensive than we paid for it. We had really good customer service when some clips weren’t in the delivery but they sent some out and they arrived 3 days later no issues from customer service.

Have a look at diy kitchens. Lovely units and no hard sell.

You might be better off trying your local Facebook page or neighbourhood website to get opinions as I think Wren might vary. Friend who lives Norfolk used them including their fitters and had a great experience. My friend in Cardiff had prolonged misery with her new Wren kitchen and customer service was very poor.

DIY kitchens are amazing Value . Its all sold in a very different way .And you have to do your own measuring . But the quality is excellent

My parents had a Wren kitchen about 18 months ago and are really pleased with it. Fitted well, no problems, changed a few things in the design stage that caused no issue. They used their fitters too and it all went smoothly and on time.

Has anyone come across similar issues?
We have purchased our house during 2020 December. Almost brand new Wren kitchen (which was installed in 2019) was part of the fitting & fixtures of the purchased house. I must admit that the kitchen was one of the attractive features motivated us to accept the house purchase. The warrantee and other documents associated with fitting & fixtures were provided by the previous landlord as pat of the legal documents of the property.

Unfortunately within less than 3.5 years of kitchen installation, the outer layer of a wall unit (the skin of the wall unit next to the extractor) has started to peel off and we are also observing bubbling on different places of the worktop. Since the impacted wall unit is next to the extractor fan we are not able to use the gas hobs for cooking as it further damages the skin.

We have reported the issue via email to the customer care team but no response from them since last 12 days. Hence we have called them Yesterday (after 12 days of email report), their response was very disappointed. i.e. we have been told that the warrantee is not covered anymore if the ownership of the house is changed.

I see two issues:
Related to product quality (started to show problems within less than 3.5 years of installation)
Irresponsible and unacceptable customer service (after sale)
Until Yesterday, we were in an opinion that Wren is a highly reputable company and their quality of product & services are on very high standard. But this incident shows that we were wrong.

We we warned off Wren being told they are style over substance. Look good , but won't last.
