Got a bit carried away painting bathroom ...

I was only going to paint the alcove around the bath and paint the rest of the room an off white ... but I really liked it and kept going ... luckily DH didn't faint when he came in 😂 I only bought 2.5L so have ordered more ... will put a white framed rectangular mirror above the bath and some white framed pictures. It's a long thin room with a massive mirror behind the toilet and a south facing garden.

Also I think it's made the cream tiles a bit more interesting ??

And new white bath panel on order

That's lovely! And yes, it makes the tiles more of a "feature".

balzamico · 30/12/2020 19:28

What colour is that, it's lovely

JumpingJamboree · 30/12/2020 19:36

I really like it!

MiniCooperLover · 30/12/2020 19:36

Sorry that should have said 'massive window behind the toilet'. It's a Dulux bathroom paint called Denim Drift. Looks like it has a faint glitter to it too which is an added bonus 😊

I like it!

NachoNachoMan · 30/12/2020 19:48

Love it! Do you know by any chance what your tiles are called? Looks very similar to some we have in our downstairs loo! We have a couple of cracked tiles but don't want to have to replace the whole lot. Thank you and sorry for jumping on your thread! 😃

DramaAlpaca · 30/12/2020 19:49

Wow! I love it.

MiniCooperLover · 30/12/2020 19:50

NachoNachoMan, I'm very sorry but I don't. They were already put in the house by Wimpey when we bought it new 16 years ago. There's a book somewhere telling us about our fixtures and fittings, I'll try and find it 👍😊

I love it - looks great!

Haggisfish · 30/12/2020 19:52

We have done our kitchen in this colour and I LOVE it!!

yankeedoodledandee · 30/12/2020 19:55

Love this!!

justineboober · 30/12/2020 19:56

Denim drift is a lovely colour. We have it in our spare room!

MiniCooperLover · 30/12/2020 19:59

Ah I'm so happy people like it !!! I've still got half the room to do and a second coat but I'm already with our poor boring bathroom. I LOVE baths and it hasn't been painted in 16 years and was looking so unloved! I was t even getting that paint, I was going for a similar B&W own brand but then I read it wasn't great for bathrooms and thought well Dulux is always good and what's similar and I'm so happy I picked this 😊👍

God please forgive the spelling issues 😳 The autocorrect on this site is fierce

It looks brilliant. Way better than any type of white.

MrsJamin · 31/12/2020 08:15

I think it looks much better, like somewhere you can relax rather than just get clean.

mrsbyers · 31/12/2020 08:25

I would prefer Matt finish but I do like the colour

MiniCooperLover · 31/12/2020 09:03

It's looking ok in the morning light, I'm so relieved 😊👍Hopefully I'll get it all finished and put back together today.

That's a lovely colour!!

MrsBobDylan · 31/12/2020 10:51

So nice! I once painted a dark, cold-light room a really lovely olive shade and it looked so much brighter than the magnolia. Your bathroom really looks warm and inviting with that blue.

Grellbunt · 31/12/2020 10:57

Looks fab

Magnolia is almost always worse than the alternative!

MiniCooperLover · 31/12/2020 16:39

Grellbunt so true but as we've only been here 16 years it took me a while to decide what to do 😂

Love it!
