Got a bit carried away painting bathroom ...

I was only going to paint the alcove around the bath and paint the rest of the room an off white ... but I really liked it and kept going ... luckily DH didn't faint when he came in 😂 I only bought 2.5L so have ordered more ... will put a white framed rectangular mirror above the bath and some white framed pictures. It's a long thin room with a massive mirror behind the toilet and a south facing garden.

I love paint. I find it fascinating how a new coat can transform the mood of a place.

Wine and a candle! Looks lovely. I have only just realised I hate having a bath in this house because it's just too bright and clinical looking, which is fine for a shower but rubbish for a relaxing soak.

Denim drift is a fab colour! I have it in a small cloakroom and it's lovely.

I love that colour and used it for my bedroom. Your bathroom looks great.

In the first pic the tiles seem so dated. I can’t believe the difference. The dark paint really picks out the marble veins in the tiles and makes them look like new.

NachoNachoMan I found our George Wimpey book from when we moved in. Our bathroom tiles were called Afrodita Blanco Porcelanosa and (16 years ago) were supplied by a branch of Porcelanosa in Peterborough (01733 352111). Hope you can get some if they're the right tile for you 😊👍

(we have Dulux Mulberry Burst - we discovered, like you, that the darker, bolder colour works so much better than the creamy colour in there originally!)

I've got Mulberry Burst in my office at work as I had it in my bathroom. Great colour!
