What floor goes with oak worktops?

In our kitchen/diner we have oak look worktops, platinum (off white/light greyish) cupboards and white herringbone splashback tiles.

What flooring do I go for? If we go wood look do we go lighter or darker than the worktops? I wouldn't want to pick similar and have them slightly clash. Or perhaps tile look are a safer bet than wood? It would be LVT flooring either wood look or stone look so no difference in feel. Purely a cosmetic question. Any suggestions/pics welcome!

Of the new pics - the lighter grey slate is nice but when thinking more; Emerald Green is such a bold colour, I think I would stick with the oak floor (then you only have 3 colours to think about when matching accessories - the white, oak and green, rather than 4 when adding the grey).

If we go for the slate we'd probably not bother with the emerald. My plan for that really was just it all felt a bit boring and neutral so it was to spice it up a bit. Slate gives enough contrast that I could get away with white walls and just lots of plants and prints Smile

Agree that would look lovely - the light cabinets/tiles/ walls combined with the mid tone worktops and slighty darker slate floor would look beautiful and very natural with prints and greenery.

I'm so nervous about choosing it but I just can't find anything else!

This is mine, that floor hides a multitude of sins!!

Exact same conundrum here (although we have navy units). Leaning towards oak Karndean. A close match. Herringbone to contrast with the worktops. Fingers crossed it’s the right decision!!

I’d go for the dark grey slate and then maybe add some colour via a greener grey on the walls - something like Cromarty or Mizzle F&B would work really well with what you have so far.

@YellowEllis

I've found another first pic is black slate, second pic is grey slate. It would be for kitchen/diner and hallway. We have oak internal doors if that matters
Light grey slate option looks best, of all you’ve posted.
