Not sure how to link to. A previous thread but there is one in chat about Eufy robovacs. Full of love for them too

Dragongirl10 · 11/11/2020 20:05

Roomba's only, absolutely fab 900 series the best.

Karwomannghia · 11/11/2020 20:13

Love mine. Takes his time but does at great job and I don’t have to!

WhereOnEarthDoIStart · 11/11/2020 21:14

I love 💕 my Eufy. Look for the older thread.

Mine runs once at 10 when we've cleaned up and again in the morning The floor is lovely and clean without much effort .

FrightClub · 11/11/2020 21:18

I've got a Eufy 30 Max. It collects terrifying amounts of dust and dog hair every single day. I ran it after we'd been away for a week, and the dogs had been in kennels, and it STILL collected scary amounts of detritus.

It also makes me feel like I've cleaned the house when in fact I've just turned it on and responded to its plaintive little beeps when it gets stuck. £200 well spent, if you ask me.

Audreyseyebrows · 11/11/2020 21:20

Can I ask for those that have one, would they work in an old house with slightly wonky floors? We have old slate floors under the carpet and they are uneven in places.

Aposterhasnoname · 11/11/2020 21:25

I got a cheap lefant a few weeks ago. I’m not exaggerating, it’s life changing! Brilliant on carpets and hard floors, and I can’t believe how much it picks up. Not sure it would cope with uneven floors though, maybe a pricier one would.

AlCalavicci · 11/11/2020 21:37

I love my Eufy, I can't post a link on my phone but look for a thread called new Eufy Parents. I am in it a lot so look for my name too.

Lots of pages, it will answers all your questions but for now.
I have a Eufy 11s , it's a basic model and doesn't come with boundary strips but I don't need them.
All have a anit drop feature so won't fall down stairs.
You don't need a / can't use a app.
It has a remote control .
It has a timer so it can be set to run at the same time every day but you can over ride it with the remote.
They all find their way back to the kennel docking station.

You will be horrified about the amount of crap it picks up .
You will end up talking to it .
You will probably give it a name
You might put googly eyes in it .
You will wonder how you managed without it

AlCalavicci · 11/11/2020 21:48

Yes they can cope with uneven floors , they can climb up and down small ( about 2 cm ) edges.
They tend not to like tassles on rugs.
They will eat things like shoe laces, headphone wires, phone charge cables .
It will try to eat thicker cables to like tv/ laptop/ wires. So it's best to keep all wires out of the way

MoirasRoses · 11/11/2020 21:51

I looooove mine. It’s currently hoovering my living room as I type on the sofa! Grin

SenorFrog · 11/11/2020 21:59

Another Eufy lover here. I’ve got the 15C Max. He’s called Brian and he’s excellent.

Alexalee · 11/11/2020 22:08

I have a roomba too. I love him. He's called Rodney. Rodney the Roomba.

DappledOliveGroves · 11/11/2020 22:35

We have Roman the robot. He's a 30C Eufy and he's wonderful. Best money I've spent.

daisyphase · 11/11/2020 23:54

I’ve been a fan of my Neato for the past 3 years but have just fallen out of love. With this and everything else In my home that works on lithium ion batteries. I was just about to spend yet another £60 on replacement battery and roller ( they wear out within a year) and I thought...hang on, I can get a whole new hoover for that which won’t bleep at me endlessly because it got stuck on a toy...and I did, John Lewis, £60, job done.

puret0ne · 12/11/2020 00:36

How uncanny, I was searching/checking it today.

I’ve been recommended ‘Roborock S6 MaxV’ rather unanimously by my friends and acquaintances. So I’m settled with it.

GrimDamnFanjo · 12/11/2020 01:00

Do you need to have mostly empty floors?

MrsJamin · 12/11/2020 07:06

We have a roomba, it's great, my only beef with it is it has to be placed on the charging unit and you can't just plug it in, so sometimes you think it's charging when it isn't. You need the floor clear, yes @GrimDamnFanjo, not sure how it would work if it wasn't? 🤔 The thing you need to be most aware of is cables as it'll pick it up and get tied up with the bits that go round underneath.

Karwomannghia · 12/11/2020 07:49

@GrimDamnFanjo

Do you need to have mostly empty floors?
It just bumps into furniture or things in the way then feels its way round it. It will try to eat wires or anything small though.
wonkylegs · 12/11/2020 08:04

We have a roomba bought by DH and frankly it's a pain in the butt - probably would be life changing in a different kind of house but ours is very limited. Victorian house with 3 step changes at GF and 2 at Ff means you have to physically move the hoover and dock between areas so can't just set it off to go and because it's limited to just hoovering the floor I still end up going round the house once a week for stairs, skirtings, corners etc
It doesn't really save much work, I wfh so I find it noisy and it's always getting stuck - DH loves it as he feels it's contributing but frankly it's not really doing much.

wonkylegs · 12/11/2020 08:07

It was particularly special the time it bumped into the table knocking down DS2s picture from school on to the floor which it semi ate and then trekked glitter all over the area. Got home to a very sparkly kitchen / breakfast room 🤦‍♀️

averythinline · 12/11/2020 08:24

Love mine..I have the basic eufy called Marvin ...some marvel sticker..
If he ever gets too poorly think I would get the next model up or maybe one that mops as well as really appreciate not doing housework

PlanBea · 12/11/2020 10:28

Another Eufy convert. We're considering getting a second one for upstairs. Our kitchen/hall/living room/utility get hoovered every day and it still picks up a crazy amount of dust. The only thing that's irritating is it doesn't like bright sunlight so we need to remember to put the blinds down on sunny days or he can get stuck, but our house looks clean with hoover lines despite 0 effort from us 😂
