Are your internal doors

a) stripped & varnished/waxed or
b) painted?

Can't decide what to go for, so am being nosey. Thanks!

of course is all hip again now - you just have to avoid temptation to rip out past 'mistakes' long enough and it comes back into fashion. like baby names

(ps this from someone who was seriously considering rita for our secondborn...)

My base units have plain painted doors. Door has a ridge along the top edge you can hook your fingers behind to open them. There are similar ones built in above the slopey cupboards right up to the ceiling (no cupboard tops to clean )

Quite like Rita! The previous owners were here 30 years and it was here when they moved in (although they did spuce it up woth paint and new tiles). I think they sold us the house becaue i told them it was trendy in a 'vintage' way and i wouldn't be rippping it out.

Result of poll - split fairly evenly between the paint and the stripped & waxed.

Thanks everyone! Think I will paint them

When we moved in (Edwardian semi) all the original doors had long gone. We replaced the nasty flat ones that were there with reproduction panelled ones -and painted them white. Mainly because we wanted to make the rooms as light as possible rather than having a preference either way...

half are painted as were like that when we moved in and they look nice.
but, the ones we have put in, are old stripped and waxed ones.
that doesnt help you does it ?!
