Love most of the decor, especially that gorgeous wallpaper in the main bedroom.

Nice inside but the South is sooo expensive!

puret0ne · 15/10/2020 17:37

Also look at Tom Ford’s London house.

I looked up after reading the following article.

I personally went to view Lorraine Kelly’s house as well (didn’t know back then) when it was on the market. It was a lovely riverside property and now it’s withdrawn from the market.

SJaneS48 · 15/10/2020 18:16

Love it

JoJoSM2 · 15/10/2020 21:37

@puret0ne

With the Lorraine Kelly house, was it priced based on sb taking it apart and doubling the sq footage? Or do such houses go for anywhere near that asking price?

I’m wondering about that Tom Ford house. I can see the staircase or bathrooms being v him but the furniture looks chosen by sb with a different style. I wonder if he owned it a few years ago.

@WineTastingNotTimeWasting

Why would you want to look at her house?
Why would you look at a post like this you're not interested in having a look at someone's house? Hmm

Anyway, I recognised her kitchen from her insta posts. Gorgeous house, totally impractical for us with two kids with mobility issues.

bubblebubblebubbletrouble · 15/10/2020 21:50

I think it's lovely - but I'm sure her & Norman used to have a place right on the sea which I remember seeing once & loved.

Tadpolesandfroglets · 15/10/2020 21:54

Love the bedroom
Wallpaper, wonder where it’s from?

SwedishEdith · 15/10/2020 21:56

Oo, no, not keen on Tom Ford's house.

tobee · 15/10/2020 22:08

Not sure if anyone asked this/it says that n details, but does anyone else wonder if it was once a pub? The shape, look of the front, proximity to road?

tobee · 15/10/2020 22:10

There's something feels very Tom Ford about his house. Rather like the masculine darkness etc

AreYouSiriusLupin · 15/10/2020 22:16

I love it too!

Honeyroar · 15/10/2020 22:24

I know it’s in a village but it’s got a very townhouse feel to it. It’s nice, although I’d want a garden and wouldn’t want to be right on the road like that. I’m not keen on the wallpapers either, but that’s only a small thing.

Ingridla · 15/10/2020 22:35

I think it's beautiful, I'd fucking love to live somewhere like that

madcatladyforever · 15/10/2020 22:38

Ditchling looks pretty but its a terrible boring place, I used to live near there.

AdelaideK · 15/10/2020 22:44

I think its lovely and it suits her character really.

longtompot · 15/10/2020 23:17

Tom Fords house reminds me of his fragrances. Bet it smells amazing

TheSpottedZebra · 15/10/2020 23:21

JoJo, I think he DID own it a few years ago, as the info mentioned it had barely changed since hed had it.

I think he's been back in the US for a bit now.

LuluJakey1 · 15/10/2020 23:27

I like it, especially the garden but it doesn't have a real sitting room.

tenlittlecygnets · 15/10/2020 23:39

Eek, all the spiders in the ivy!!

cabotstove · 16/10/2020 00:12

Love the wallpaper, & the garden.

Ilovesausages · 16/10/2020 00:23

I love it - it’s beautiful. It doesn’t look much from the outside but I love the inside and the courtyard!!!

puret0ne · 16/10/2020 00:26

@JoJoSM2

Well her house size stayed as exactly the same as previous seller’s. It’s not the kind of a house you can easily extend or (structurally) change. She spruced it up with colours and new furniture Smile I reckon.

Considering the time she had lived for and the price she had paid for I felt it was overpriced though. I doubted if she was able to achieve the asking price but who knows.

Astrabees · 16/10/2020 11:06

It is right on the road! I would not buy a house with not even a little strip of green and a fence in front of it.

IheartNiles · 16/10/2020 11:31

It looks like a pretty village and nice decor. But it has zero kerb appeal. I hate loads of ivy destroying brickwork.
