Do you get a long guarantee from BG?

Haggisfish · 26/08/2020 08:18

Five years. And they were only a few hundred pounds more than other independent quotes we got.

Thehogfatherstolemycurry · 26/08/2020 08:44

I'd get a few quotes first. BG quoted me over £5000, I got the same boiler plus fitting and flush and 5 year warranty from a local company for £2000.

2.5 to 3.5k.

Please don't use British Gas, they are very overpriced. In June we paid £2100 for a new conventional boiler for our four bed detached house, which included a new Hive thermostat and a couple of new valves, plus a full system flush. The installer said that when he worked for British Gas the exact same installation cost £4000.

We just paid £7000 or so (external boiler so slightly more expensive) which included fitting (we did the research and bought the boiler ourselves).

Thank you, we will get a couple of other quotes and see how they differ.
