Which is the best option?

They are all in a similar part of the city it terms of proximity to motorways and railway stations-Which would you go for and why? One is mine and I want to know how it compares to other properties of the same sizes

I hate all 3 but if I had to pick I'd go for number 3. 1 has pokey rooms, 2 is horrendous

Jilljams · 31/07/2020 16:11

No. 1, then 3, then 2

Settlersofcatan · 31/07/2020 16:12

I like 2 the best, good layout downstairs for us

thebear1 · 31/07/2020 16:13

1 or 3 for me.

tara66 · 31/07/2020 16:13

Only number gives the total sq.m. size which is 107 sq.m. - but the others seem a similar size. The photos of fiirst one make it look bigger as 107sq.m. is small for a 4 bed house. Find it hard to choose.

Lougle · 31/07/2020 16:15

I think house 2. I'm going to read the thread now 😃

MoverOfPaper · 31/07/2020 16:16

Number 1. The others have dated interiors and would need work. I couldn’t live in a Mock Tudor house!

MikeEhrmantraut · 31/07/2020 16:18

I really like 1. Garden is important to me and it looks good. Kitchen looks decent as do the bathrooms.

3 looks nice but lots of small rooms, and I'd want to do the kitchen. The garden is nice but too structured for my tastes and looks smaller.

2 doesn't seem to flow well and needs a fair bit of DIY ie the bathroom, kitchen and general updating to tastes. Which is to be expected but for only 12 grand less than number 1 it seems like too much work.

MikeEhrmantraut · 31/07/2020 16:19

Although I'm worried about the mock Tudor hate...as I have one Grin

Floralnomad · 31/07/2020 16:19

Definitely number 1 , although I do find the outside of the actual house a bit off putting . The interior of 1 is well laid out , 2 has too many small / awkward rooms so the flow wouldn’t be right . The only thing going for 3 would be the pond but that’s because I’m after a pond .

Figgygal · 31/07/2020 16:19

Number 1

Another not a fan of mock Tudor

OhTheRoses · 31/07/2020 16:21

1 is the best house but none of them are walking distance to the station. They are all overlooked and none has a decent sized main bedroom.

Bluntness100 · 31/07/2020 16:21

No one for me also, it’s lovely. Is that your one?

Spied · 31/07/2020 16:22

No1 is my favourite. Layout, rooms, style.
No2 I really don't like the shape of the rooms.
No3 Has the best garden space. I also like the Tudor style but inside isn't a patch on 1.

FaceOfASpink · 31/07/2020 16:22

Haven't read other posts but the first one after I'd checked that the garden is as private as it seems and where it gets the sun.

TheDogsMother · 31/07/2020 16:23

Number one. It needs less updating and I'm not keen on the conservatories on the other two.

Mummyshark2018 · 31/07/2020 16:27

Number 1, but 3 has more potential and is detached.

Bluntness100 · 31/07/2020 16:27

I’m not sure though op I think if you search within a mile you’ve tougher competition than the links posted.

orangenasturtium · 31/07/2020 16:29

At first glance, number 1, because it looks nicest in its current state. But once you put the decor aside, number 3. The downstairs layout is better - 2 reception rooms rather than a lounge and study (house 1). The garden seems less overlooked. It looks bigger and "more expensive" from the outside (no measurements though) and it is more "detached", there is actual space between houses, not a few mm.

Your house looks lovely though.

Zoomintheroom · 31/07/2020 16:30

One is the nicest and best layout. Number 2 has an awkward layout and don't like the conservatory. Don't like the appearance of three and again the conservatory would put me off.

Which one is yours OP?

PickAChew · 31/07/2020 16:33

Between one and 3.the second one has lots of pokey rooms downstairs though the 3rd and 4th bedrooms are a better size if that's what you need. I love the big windows of 1 and 3 is a handsome house though not sure if I like the dining room being so detached from the kitchen. It does have the scope for making a kitchen diner with the dining room as a snug, though.

howfarwevecome · 31/07/2020 16:33

Number 1. No contest.

xxKatie9806xx · 31/07/2020 16:35

Number 1 is nice but not enough downstairs living space.

Number 2 has more rooms downstairs but decor etc would need quite a lot of work.

Therefore 3 would probably be the one I went for as it has more downstairs space than 1, but needs less work than property 2. The pond may put off people with children though.

Sgtmajormummy · 31/07/2020 16:36

Definitely not 2 (sorry if it’s yours, OP).
Several mistakes have been made in decorating and fitting, probably unskilled DIY or workers. And in that case it’s probably hiding a few botched structural jobs, too.

Number 3 is a nice house but Number 1 has a better garden.

PickAChew · 31/07/2020 16:37

A lot can change within a mile. Our house would have cost 50% more less than half a mile away.
