Ours went on Rightmove today. Just praying that it sells in these weird times!

Hi folks - I have accepted an offer today. Its fair but not asking. They are the only people I showed round as my estate agent did all the other viewings. I've lived here for 19 years and bought up my kids in this house so its a strange feeling.

I'm downsizing so its quite hard (my XH needs to be paid out his share and I have an interest only mortgage to be paid off which I took out when we divorced so he could have a deposit for his flat). I cant stay in this area as its so expensive and I'm having to explore quite a few different areas to see what I can afford where - where do I want to be and what style of house/flat. Struggling to make my mind up...

Feeling really fed up, the dream house we saw and offered on has been snatched from under our nose by first time buyers. Add to that the fact we have only had 1 viewer in 10 days I’m wondering why bother. Our current mortgage expires end of October so should I just lock-in to a cheap rate for a few weeks and hope the market doesn’t nosedive too much.

That should say few years not few weeks!
