I think the downstairs space seems small for a four bedroom house. Other than that it seems nice enough.

BBCONEANDTWO · 05/07/2020 18:44

It's lovely and beautifully decorated. Like the fact it has 3 toilets.

Aquamarine1029 · 05/07/2020 18:45

The cramped downstairs space is a deal breaker for me. I absolutely hate a combined living room/dining area, and sadly the kitchen is too small to eat in. A hard pass to me.

angelopal · 05/07/2020 18:45

The lack of bathroom on the 2nd floor would put me off. I would not want to have to go up and down the stairs during the night or be woken up be others doing it.

ohthegoodtimes · 05/07/2020 18:47

I don't really like the house but I LOVE the feature wallpaper in the living room, never seen paper like that before!

BoxAndKnife · 05/07/2020 18:48

It's a no from me. Downstairs space is ridiculously limited for a 4-bed house.

Ickabog · 05/07/2020 18:49

For a 4 bedroom family house the space looks ridiculously small. Downstairs is basically one room, so you'd all be on top of one another. The bedrooms don't seem to have storage, and the sloped ceilings in some of the bedrooms means you have a lot less usable space. Perhaps not a problem for small children, but children grow, and I can't imagine teenagers in there.

PenelopePitstop49 · 05/07/2020 18:50

I've always hankered after open plan until staying in a holiday let. I found people used the dining room table as a dumping ground so you battled to keep it clear; it was very noisy when cooking/boiling kettle/dishwasher was on; and with toys/kids, there is just always muddle in eyesight.

I'm very traditional and like separate dining rooms and living rooms - we're struggling at present to find somewhere that has these.

AteAllTheAfterEights · 05/07/2020 18:51

It’s nice but the 2 upstairs bedrooms with no bathroom would put me off

curlyrebel · 05/07/2020 18:53

I really like it! Nicely decorated. The downstairs space doesn't look too cramped to me. It really depends on you and your family's needs as to how much space you require. Is there sufficient space for storage?

BoxAndKnife · 05/07/2020 18:56

Open-plan living drives me insane. I do love a nice kitchen-diner but kitchen-dining-sitting room? No way. I want to be able to shut the door on kitchen detritus and the sound of the washing machine in the evening.

We are vaguely house-hunting at the moment and I wouldn't even consider something that was fully open-plan downstairs.

BewareTheBeardedDragon · 05/07/2020 18:57

It looks nice but there's not much in it in the pics. There is very very little storage, and the floor area is tiny for a 4 bed. It would become cluttered very quickly unless you're very minimalist and very tidy.
The wallpapers are stunning and decoratively it is gorgeous. I don't know what your options are, but given the immaculate condition I wonder if you could get more floor area for your money if you were willing to decorate or do a little work?

DramaAlpaca · 05/07/2020 18:58

There's too little downstairs space for the number of bedrooms, and I dislike open plan layouts. The feature walls are awful. The lack of a shower room on the top floor would put me off.

On the plus side, I like the bathrooms, the living room is nice and bright, the garden is fine, despite being small, and I like the green area at the front.

lovelyupnorth · 05/07/2020 18:59

It’s very small our lounge in a 3 bed is bigger than the entire downstairs.

crimsonlake · 05/07/2020 19:00

The fact that it has gone up 47K since 2017 would be putting me off for starters.

Ickabog · 05/07/2020 19:00

The downstairs space doesn't look too cramped to me.

Probably because it's so sparsely furnished.

LoisLittsLover · 05/07/2020 19:01

Itvs a tiny footprint for a 4 bed house. If you had 5 people downstairs (parents plus 3 kids) it would feel majorly cramped to me, so where would any guests go? I also can't see any storeage

Purplewithred · 05/07/2020 19:01

Beautifully presented and decorated but the layout is a bit top heavy - fine with small children but a bit cramped once they get to teens when it comes to family space. Love the feature walls.

notheragain4 · 05/07/2020 19:02

I agree it isn't well balanced and too open downstairs for me. I think you could get better in that area for that amount of money.

OakleyStreetisnotinChelsea · 05/07/2020 19:03

I agree with the lack of downstairs space. Although I absolutely hate total open plan. Nowhere to escape. You can't be peacefully in one room while someone watches TV in another. Mine has a big open kitchen dinner with comfy armchairs but then a separate living room with these TV.

Loft bedrooms, I always wonder how well it has been converted. Will they be boiling in summer and freezing in winter? The no loo up there doesn't bother me but we used to have a loft room and only a downstairs bathroom so not having to go down 2 flights of stairs is something of a luxury.

Phthalo · 05/07/2020 19:05

I would live in a terrace if there was any other option. Tiny garden and one room downstairs, so if I needed to escape other people I’d be confined to my bedroom or going for a walk, which would drive me mad!

Darkestseasonofall · 05/07/2020 19:05

For a 4 bed I expect a separate utility, and another completely separate room, even if small, to be used as a play room / snug.
It wouldn't suit family life at all IMO.

Phthalo · 05/07/2020 19:06

‘I WOULDNT live in a terrace‘ that should say

BoxAndKnife · 05/07/2020 19:07

How many people will be living there, OP?

AnnaSW1 · 05/07/2020 19:08

Or the me. The downstairs is all one room. I don't want to eat in the lingerie. No separate sit down kitchen is a deal breaker for me.
