I can't see a dishwasher in that very small kitchen, and space for one isn't mentioned. There is no room that I can see for a tumble drier either.
No from me then. Living space far too small and no bathroom on the top floor, it all just looks cramped. I do like the wallcoverings though - they look like murals rather than wallpaper on rolls.

SockYarn · 06/07/2020 08:19

Their taste in feature walls is a bit yuk but that's easy changed. Kitchen is very small.

We lived in a "top heavy" house like that before we had kids, bedrooms were a great size but the living space was small. When we moved, downstairs space was hte main thing we were looking for.

It really depends what you're looking for and the ages of your kids, if they're teens who spend all their time out or in their rooms, then it would work fine. And it looks very modern and you wouldn't have to spend £££ on new kitchen/bathroom

Flynn999 · 06/07/2020 08:33

The kitchen looks way to small, and the lounge doesn’t look big enough to accommodate a dining table as well as have enough space for what I assume would be a family of 4/5.

The kids bedrooms I think are to small. I assume by the photos the kids are a bit younger, but once the hit teenage years the eaves of the room will be a nightmare especially if the kids are tall. So be prepared to move if you have teenagers.

No toilet on the second floor, so the kids will be trampling up and down stairs if they need to loo. I know lots of people often have a downstairs bathroom only and people can survive without, but having lived with an upstairs bathroom and a downstairs loo, I couldn’t go back Grin.

I personally don’t like the whole 3 story living, you seem to get a smaller foot plan but more bedrooms which doesn’t appeal.

No idea about the price and area. But I do think it’s been well decorated and doesn’t look a nice home.

BoxAndKnife · 06/07/2020 11:58

Now I've seen the previous layout I dislike it even more!

What on earth were the current owners thinking?? It actually makes me feel unreasonably annoyed Grin Bloody open-plan nonsense.

weepingwillow22 · 06/07/2020 13:08

I think the owners are hoping to recoup their renovation costs by listing it £50k higher than they bought it for 3 years ago (I don't think the market has gone up much if all since then). However I don't think changes they have made should add that much to the value, the new layout is a lot less practical and they have not increased the space although it is cosmetically improved.

ThomasHardyPerennial · 06/07/2020 13:19

The garden is so small.

littlejalapeno · 06/07/2020 14:20

Another cite for the original layout. Theo’s kind of house doesn’t need an en-suite on the first floor. Better to ha styrene that’s reading stance into an en-suite and had two good sized bedrooms and a family bathroom on the first floor. In the current plan too much space is dedicated to bathrooms, with not enough utility, storage or circulation space imo

CharmingB · 06/07/2020 14:20

The ground floor space makes sooo much more sense when it's listed as a three bed! I don't think the current owners have done it any favours by adding another bedroom.

As others have said, for your family size it would be fine, but the kicker for me would be not being able to park out the front. It mentions a garage - is that it behind? Would you end up using your back door as a front door and never go out the front?

littlejalapeno · 06/07/2020 14:26

Well that will teach me to proof read!

*better to have turned that dressing room on the second floor into an en suite and had two good sized bedrooms and one bathroom on the first floor.

BiggerBoat1 · 06/07/2020 14:26

I like the attic rooms and the downstairs is nice and light but so small. Bathrooms are soulless. Its all a bit bland, but maybe a blank canvas is what you're after. It looks attractive from the outside.

TokyoSushi · 06/07/2020 14:30

I'd really advise you against buying this house. We live on an extremely similar estate, elsewhere in the UK. I can almost promise you that the noise transference between the houses will be absolutely awful and you will hate the garden. They are massively overlooked and you'll feel like you have to whisper in there. I repeat, DO NOT DO IT!

SoupDragon · 06/07/2020 14:37

I agree that it's far too small downstairs. There is no escape!

The bathrooms are horrible and expensive to change if they aren't to your taste. I hate the feature walls too but that is irrelevant really.

SoupDragon · 06/07/2020 14:37

Lockdown has taught me the importance of having somewhere to escape to!

Mummyshark2018 · 06/07/2020 14:38

It's decorated really well but agree with others it should really be a 3 bed town house design with an additional lounge in the first floor and then master on top floor with en-suite. As there are only 3 of you , you could probably make it work.

Frost1nMay · 06/07/2020 14:44

Its all fur coat and no knickers isnt it?

Looks the biz with its nice furniture and glossy kitchen and high spec bathroom, but you'll be tearing your hair out at the lack of space to
Eat comfortably- what abut having frends or family over?
Store- there is no storage
Extend- It is maxed out already with a tiny garden

Hoppinggreen · 06/07/2020 14:49

I agree with the comments about downstairs, there’s basics just 1 room. We have a 4 bed house with 3 of us living here and 3 Reception rooms downstairs, we have managed to escape eachother during lockdown without having to hide in the bedroom
If it looks poky with so little furniture imagine it with people actually living there

SecretWitch · 06/07/2020 14:54

I love it.

justtmee · 06/07/2020 15:04

Don't get suckered in by the nice decor. The actual house beyond the nice feature wall is not really fit for purpose. A living area that small would be more suited to a 2 bed in my opinion.

MrsCollinssettled · 06/07/2020 15:45

The original pictures really show up the issues with the house. Particularly the lack of space downstairs.

Interesting that both old and new pictures of the garden show it largely being in deep shadow. Not great when you need to escape from the cramped indoor social space.

It comes across as a house that might be attractive on first viewing but becomes less and less so when you start thinking of the practicalities. For instance there's 3 of you, if you have parents/friends staying that probably bumps you up 5+. Where are you all going to eat? Where are you going to sit when you're not eating? The old pics showed 2x 2 seater sofas taking up much of the space that is supposed to be the lounge/dining area. Lockdown has really made people rethink about layouts and they could find it a hard sell.
