Creepy rightmove house (CV relief)

Is it me or is this house creepy?

Looks OK, then my blood ran a bit cold when I got to the barrel vaulted bedroom in pic 13.

The buildings next door to it were once a women's laundry and someone told me those had to be exorcised a few years ago.

the garage looks scary but the rest of the house looks fine to me ..a bit dated but not spooky. lol

i saw a house the other day that looked identical to the house from the film the conjuring. funny think was it was large, had land and was within out budget and in a nice area....but it was a hell no from me! haha

Looks like a lovely house to me! Just needs a bit of money and modernisation. Nothing creepy, just an old house.

I know what you mean, its not exactly scary but seems to have an unfriendly atmosphere, the facade and the way the windows are placed gives it a closed off unbalanced look and the change of use of many of the rooms mean they seem oddly proportioned and the whole seems to lack warmth. I can see why it seems an unsettling house, but the suggestion is total renovation so you might be able to make it a lovely home!

Was it part of an old priory or something? Maybe not spooky but def atmospheric

Agree with @Chipperfish a combination of proportions, decor and an eerie stillness to the pics. Would make an ideal set for a horror movie

That house gave me a horrible cold feeling .

It does look creepy, but that's the decor. It's bare and old fashioned. And it needs painted outside. The story of the other buildings would put me off though.

Yes agreed, they look like pictures you see from a murder scene, not sure why!
Love the random Oasis poster on the wall, looks so out of place with the rest of the decor!

OP, you’re right. That house is seriously creepy - it’s got carpet in the bathroom!

It’s not in the least bit creepy! The owners have style. Obviously it could be updated but not gutted at all. I love sone of the features.
