Hi everyone. Just had a beautiful Damson Twist carpet laid in our Lounge/Diner, Hallway, Stairs and Landing, having been advised it is very good for standing up to cats, who like to dig and claw at it, in preference to the multitude of scratching posts we have around the same area. Admittingly aware this carpet is brand new, and subject to losing loose tufts for a while, we have been constantly keeping an eye on our two lovely cats. Nightmare!! They are having a field day with it!! Each time one of them attacks the carpet, they get results, and we are left picking up the removed tufts, complete with a little bit of the hessian backing glue attached. So far no bald patches because of the luxuriousness of the pile. It is a lovely soft carpet!! Hopefully they will get used to it. Has anyone had similar problems please??

Bumping this thread for you, OP. We have wooden floors (and no cats!) so not much use to you, but someone out there might be able to help. Smile
