I would never be so brave but think they’re have actually managed to pull it off!

It also has a strange layout for the type of house. You go from the porch straight into the kitchen.

Caprisunorange · 07/12/2018 15:46

I love it when you have a normal looking house then it’s so unique inside

I know Hastings doesn’t have the best reputation but it’s actually quite a bargainous place to live by the sea

3in4years · 07/12/2018 16:34

It's hideous. How could you ever relax in a house like that? Pain to redecorate too.

TinklyLittleLaugh · 07/12/2018 16:46

You don't go straight into the kitchen; it's in the basement.

ChishandFips33 · 07/12/2018 22:44

I couldn't live with it but it appeals to my quirky nature. Something rather appealing about it!

Looks fun from the front too

PurpleFlowersInMyHair · 07/12/2018 22:56

I’m not surprised this house is in Hastings and the vendors might actually have a chance of finding a buyer who loves it as much as they do.

Hastings is quite arty farty, so can’t imagine many buyers wanting to paint it magnolia

Still don’t like it though

MiniMum97 · 08/12/2018 00:30

Wow! Love it!

LittleLifeRaft · 08/12/2018 00:36

Ugh, just the photos have given me a migrane. and what's with the creepy eyes on the cupboard in photo 16?

Iloveautumnleaves · 08/12/2018 00:45

It’s like Gaudi meets Playschool.

No thanks.

The second one though...I like it. Anything you don’t like would be easy enough to change, unlike the first house.

itsnowthewaitinggame · 08/12/2018 06:39

Stunning, a dream house for me

EdWinchester · 08/12/2018 10:40

It's hideous.

I bet it puts off most buyers. There would be so much drastic redecorating to do.

DexyMidnight · 08/12/2018 10:46

Adore it but can't help but wonder why they're selling - when they've poured so much of their heart into it and no doubt spent a tonne it makes me think the neighbours must be awful or there's anti social behaviour problems or something

Hippopotas · 08/12/2018 10:51

It’s not my choice of colours but I do like it. I wish I could be so bold to impart my style on a house.

I also like that it's £550k for a 4 bed period townhouse, but then again I live in London ha.

Whereas I live in the north and was horrified at the price!

In principle I think it's cool that they're really gone for it with their own taste but there's bits that work better than others. And it would be very interesting to see if the colourful or the grey house sells quicker.

OhioOhioOhio · 08/12/2018 11:07

It is so busy it is stressful.

NicoAndTheNiners · 08/12/2018 11:08

I love it. And I say that as someone with a boring, bland house.

Worieddd · 08/12/2018 11:09

Wow it’s absolutely horrific 😂🤮

Hubanmao · 09/12/2018 07:28

I quite like elements of it, but certainly wouldn’t be able to relax in it.
I’d also question why someone would spend so much doing the house up in such an individual way and then sell so soon, which makes me wonder whether there’s something wrong such as a nightmare neighbour. I noticed the house next door is covered completely in scaffolding so I suspect there may be noisy renovations that have gone on for ages and show no sign of finishing...
This house is done up as someone’s forever house; it’s certainly not what you’d do if you were intending to do up and sell on within 4 years, you’d go for more neutral, so that’s what rings alarm bells for me
Fair play to them though- they had a vision and made it happen!

Crusoe · 09/12/2018 07:33

My idea of absolute hell.

Todamhottoday · 09/12/2018 07:49

Holy shit, thats dreadful and I love colour.

I cannot see the house for all the patterns, stuff and more stuff. All the decorations in the kitchen would drive me to despair, the cleaning...

Awful an assault on the senses and I dont think they have pulled the quirky, arty vibe

SugarButterFlour · 09/12/2018 07:58

I had a feeling it would be that house Grin

Allthepinkunicorns · 09/12/2018 08:03

It hurts my eyes

dulcefarniente · 09/12/2018 08:11

The 50 shades house looks like a Travelodge with aspirations than a home to me. I could live with elements of the first house but really admire the fact that they've got the skill to go with their vision. There have been much poorer attempts to pull off colourful rooms.

sorenipples · 09/12/2018 11:43

Reminds me a bit of this one www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-57670608.html

Though for almost 2 million I'd expect a second bathroom.
