It's me again, pecking brains until this kitchen is sorted!! Grin

After much debate about whether integrated is best or not I am pro and dh is against but that's all now been dealt with I am after :

An integrated washing machine

Integrated dryer

Five burner gas hob (this has got to be silver not black)

Eye level ovens

Integrated dishwasher

Aaand a freestanding American style fridge freezer. Now here's the catch; does anyone have a BIG fridge which is less bulkier than an American?? And might even be the same depth as a standard kitchen cabinet? (600mm) We have looked at sub zeros and they are out of our league price wise.

So. If any of you lovely lot have any fab reccomendations to make of the above stuff pleeeeease help me out. Ta very much!

This is the slightly smaller fisher & paykel and doesn't stick out too much.

Do you have a Which? subscription? Really handy for narrowing down makes and models. Also Good Housekeeping reviews are useful as are reviews on AO.com, etc.

Once we'd narrowed down the models we wanted, I them shopped around for the cheapest supplier.

nutellaontoastgirl · 04/09/2018 12:56

Hiiii @wowfudge Gringreat, ill take a look at which. Do you have to pay for sub?

@LizzieMacQueen I want something that's ideally the same capacity inside but less bulky on the outside . What's the fridge space like inside?

OP posts:
wowfudge · 04/09/2018 13:16

Yes - you have to pay but I think you can try it out for something like £1. So you could do that then cancel the subscription. I think libraries stock the magazine, but being to search online is much easier. There's an app too but it's a bit clunky.

Newkitchenideas1 · 04/09/2018 16:16

Following with interest. We are going for larder fridge and freezers side by side so all integrated as my dp didn’t want anything bulky.

We have gone with Siemens built in oven and oven/microwave combination.

Have been looking for integrated dishwasher but don’t know where to start!

nutellaontoastgirl · 04/09/2018 16:29

@Newkitchenideas1 which fridge and freezer have you chosen?

Im still in two minds about whether to have an integrated fridge/freezer or not!

My sis has a semi integrated neff dishwasher which looks great.

This is the inside of the fridge. Taken before a recent party. I love the fact that the freezer is a big drawer.

Well I have found hotpoint ones, obviously the capacity is less than having an American style but we have gone for intergrated because it suits our kitchen plus I don’t actually think we would get an American into the design.
I had trouble finding intergrated ones but searched larder fridge or built in larder fridge and there are more options. Our designer put us down for a neff fridge at £1k Shock but have found ours for less than £500 each. We are not sold on them just yet - I want to see if spending slightly more will increase the capacity - I can link you to the hotpoint ones if you want?

Semi intergrated? I can’t picture that, does it just mean without the cupboard door?

Newkitchenideas1 · 04/09/2018 17:16

Lizzie - I think we work together lol, my colleagues fridge looks like that a lot Grin

nutellaontoastgirl · 04/09/2018 17:36

Sounds good @Newkitchenideas1 , please do give me some links Grin

@LizzieMacQueen I love how your fridge is so organised !!!! I don't think that would be enough fridge space for us sadly three dc who can eat theirs and our weight in food in 24 hours but still look like they've not been fed for weeks

How wide is the space for ff?

Newkitchenideas1 · 04/09/2018 18:19

Ok here is one link www.appliancesdirect.co.uk/p/hs1801aa/hotpoint-hs1801aa-integrated-fridge

And I have attached a photo of the other freezer - am on mobile so can’t do two links 🙈

Both from Appliances Direct. Think they are just under 600mm wide

I absolutely love our neff ovens. I can program them to soft boil eggs for me ready for 7:30am!!! I mean, what else could you possibly want from an oven Grin

Our neff hob is great as well, but it's induction not gas so not what you want sorry (though I was convinced we had to have a gas oven and was persuaded otherwise and it was definitely a good decision).

onewayoflife · 04/09/2018 21:41

I meant gas hob rather than oven

Smidge001 · 04/09/2018 21:57

OP, I'm confused... You want something less bulky than that picture, but that has more space inside.. Confused you know the Tardis isn't real, right.. Grin

Best option I've seen for fridge and freezer capacity is to buy two matching ones and put them side by side. You can have them with their doors opening on the outside edges so they can be perfectly next to each other and open up as if they were a double width. Ie mirror image. Works really well.

nutellaontoastgirl · 04/09/2018 22:49

@onewayoflife hiiiii Grin neff oven that boils eggs ?! Clicky link please Grin

www.johnlewis.com/neff-b57vs24n0b-slide-and-hide-single-electric-oven-with-steam-function-stainless-steel/p1943351

Though we paid nowhere near that much for it as far as I remember

nutellaontoastgirl · 05/09/2018 00:06

@onewayoflife Jesus that is an expensive oven Shock do you have the single one or two of them?!

OP posts:
PigletJohn · 05/09/2018 00:35

If it was me, I would start by reading the periodic "Which" reviews on "which company makes the best appliances" measured by reliability, customer satisfaction, and performance, and broken down by appliance type. Then browse that company's catalogue. Then look for individual test reports on the ones that seem suitable, looking for "best buy"

I mostly end up with Bosch.

That's what I've got. Integrated but with stainless steel doors.

Newkitchenideas1 · 05/09/2018 06:34

Onewayoflife is it the steam function that allows you to boil the egg?

We just purchased Siemens ovens one of which is a steam oven 🤞🏻

Nutella - our ovens were £1,299 each but we got them ex display for £500.00 each - perfect condition and still have warranties etc - might be worth looking out for deals like that!

onewayoflife · 05/09/2018 07:20

We have one of the steam ovens and this one
https://www.johnlewis.com/neff-b27cr22n1b-circotherm-pyrolytic-single-electric-oven-stainless-steel/p1961222?sku=234412959&skwcid=2dx92700034542517210&tmad=c&tmcampid=2&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIknx6Jqj3QIVyuR3Ch0iKgrFEAQYAiABEgJlCPD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

We got them direct from the kitchen fitter, brand new, for £998 for the both of them Shock

@Newkitchenideas1 It assume it's the steam function (we can't do it with the other one) so probably your new one will do all sorts of spangly exciting stuff too.
