...to a house that you are trying to sell?

Yikes! Their taste is all in their mouths!

PolkerrisBeach · 28/08/2018 17:36

Hideous. They've knocked £10k off the value of their home in their attempt to be wacky.

CuriousaboutSamphire · 28/08/2018 17:37

Surely they'll just peel off??!??!?!?!?!

Ye gods!

Knittedfairies · 28/08/2018 17:38

No picture of the bathroom - makes me wonder what they’ve done in there!

Gaspodethetalkingdog · 28/08/2018 17:40

Paved over garden no room for nature

CloudCaptain · 28/08/2018 17:42

Well it's not great art but I can see beyond it to the bones of the place. I'd paint over it though and replace the red stuff.

blaaake · 28/08/2018 17:51

Vile

LapdanceShoeshine · 28/08/2018 17:52

“quirky” Hmm

Bestseller · 28/08/2018 18:11

They haven't done it to a "place they were trying to sell" though, have they? They're trying to sell their home, which presumably they've enjoyed living in. I don't like what they've done but I don't see why everyone should live in a beige house just waiting for the day they need to sell.

senua · 28/08/2018 18:21

Why on earth does the living room have patio doors onto the (paved) front garden?Confused

ProcrastinatingPingu · 28/08/2018 18:23

What's behind that strange purple curtain? Wardrobe?
Patio doors to the front?!
The art is the least of its problems.

sunshinesupermum · 28/08/2018 18:25

And I thought Harrogate was posh!!

Nuffaluff · 28/08/2018 18:26

I really don’t see the problem. It’s a lovely house and if the art isn’t removable, you just paint over it.

mathanxiety · 28/08/2018 18:26

Place marking...

Methe · 28/08/2018 18:28

Nothing a couple of coats of paint won’t sort. Have some of you got no vision at all?

ScreamingValenta · 28/08/2018 18:31

It's a nice house - just paint over the pictures if you don't want them.

They've succeeded in attracting attention and making the house memorable, which might have been their real aim, as opposed to thinking everyone would fall in love with those cartoons.

Joinourclub · 28/08/2018 18:39

I don’t get the problem either. Apart from a few bright pictures it’s all pretty minimal. New grey carpets, white walls - looks ready to move in to.

ScreamingValenta · 28/08/2018 18:47

With the amount of hardstanding at the front, there's potential to convert the garage to an additional reception plus downstairs loo or utility room. If you got a downstairs loo in, you could knock the upstairs bathroom/loo into a single, larger room, esp. if it was possible to re-site the door on bedroom one.

BlueEyedBengal · 28/08/2018 18:54

Not too tragic HmmI can see beyond the bad taste art. All it needs is some good quality paint and will be a great home for a family. Maybe a bargain to be made ?

wowfudge · 28/08/2018 19:18

They haven't put the patio doors in - they were there when they bought it in 2010, along with at least one caravan. Theyve redone the kitchen. The artwork isn't to a lot of people's my taste, but could be painted over.

kenandbarbie · 28/08/2018 19:27

Neighbors must be delighted they're moving!!

IhatetheArchers · 28/08/2018 19:33

On the plus side it is spotless. Couldn't be doing with the hideous back yard though.

Dickybow321 · 28/08/2018 20:35

God you lot are horrible! They're selling their house, not putting it up to be ridiculed on an Internet forum. As others have said it is not difficult to look past the drawings. The house itself is immaculate.

BubblesBuddy · 28/08/2018 20:59

Well it has some quirks. Looks like it’s ex council and the owners like cartoon art. It’s neat enough and I think you could remove the oddities. What is the grey hinged cupboard in the grey brick wall next to the table in the kitchen? Was that a fireplace? The garden is awful which is a far more expensive to put right than the art. All that hard standing a plum ugly garage. That could have been a giant canvass!

dudsville · 28/08/2018 21:05

It looks fun! I've never moved into a home where I liked the decor but I would enjoy living in that house a hello of a lot more while I worked out what I wanted to do!
