Thinking of white metro tiles above the sink with dark grout. How does it look?? Thank you. Smile

Sorrel love your bathroom!

Fantasticmissfoxy · 16/04/2017 08:48

I've done it in our boys bathrooms. We were low on budget when it came to finishing them and super cheap subway tiles in white with a mid grey grout look (imo) really good. Their bathrooms are sort of 'industrial' style anyway (think galvanized bulkhead lights etc) so fits really well and means the grout never needs bleached or faffed about with. SERIOUS shower cubicle envy seeing the post above! Where did you get it??

My bathroom floor and walls have light grey grout. Recommended by the tiler as it stays looking cleaner for longer.

It's not as in your face as black or dark grey and I like it

Limesoda they look great! well done doing it yourself too. Oh and sorrell I love the way you have done the bathroom.
I'm now thinking perhaps a mid grey and not really dark.

Sorrel is your bath vintage???? I want that style!

SorrelForbes · 16/04/2017 10:59

Autumnchill and loonieleftie thank you!

emsyj37 yes it came out of a 30s bungalow and we paid to have it resurfaced. It's bloody heavy!

We have pale grey tiles with mid grey grout - love it!

Ferrisday · 16/04/2017 11:02

That's amazingly imaginative Sorrell!
Love it

Fantasticmissfoxy The shower cubicle is made from a set of vintage Crittall doors with a matching side and top panels which were built by DH. We couldn't find anything to fit the space 'off the shelf' and the bespoke ones we found on line were around the £2K mark!

Ah! A handy husband too!

SorrelForbes · 16/04/2017 11:16

Ferrisday yes, he's quite useful!

He's currently building a 7 x7 m extension Grin

We've just done it in the shower room with square tiles. Not to everyone's taste I know, but I like the vintage look.
