White tiles with dark grout. Anyone done this?

Thinking of white metro tiles above the sink with dark grout. How does it look?? Thank you.

We have it- inherited not put in ourselves. I like it because it doesn't get dirty. Please ignore ancient messy kitchen!

Ferris What make is your kitchen? Looks great.

I had white tiles with mid grey grout in a previous kitchen it it looked good. I worried about white getting dirty eventually behind the hob although it does look nice.

Are they longer metro tiles funky?
I had pics of those floor tiles saved for ages- then went for the grey.

Yep they are the 300mm bevelled edge tiles, I think standard size is 200mm.

DP is incredibly opinionated on tiles being a plumber and refused the smaller size!

I think the White grout looks better, dark grout with white tiles just looks like dirty grout imo

I don't like the dark grout with light tiles either.
Were have large rectangular silver grey tiles in the kitchen, haven't finished them yet, still one wall to do, and it'll have a pale grey grout.

We've had it for about 6 years now and still love it. In the kitchen though where we've kept everything else really simple. I'm just about to re-tile a tiny toilet floor and am going for black and white patterned tiles and black grout.

I love the kitchen ones with the grey grout. I think I prefer the slightly lighter grey, than the dark grey grout.

I have pale grey crackled metro with darker grey grout and it looks quite nice btw

I really wanted this But DH vetoed it, he said it was too1960s psychiatric hospital!

We have (trade) white tiles and a border of iridescent mosaic tiles in our bathroom with anthracite (dark grey) grout and it looks fab, it's easy to keep clean and hasn't discoloured in five years.

I've done this, albeit not with metro tiles and I LOVE it. Really shows up the tiles IMO. Did it myself, too.

Weve done our bathroom in ceiling to flooor flat matt subway tiles with medium grey grout. It's very 50s' Manhattan hotel bathroom!
