About to redecorate dd's room, she turns three in April, and am getting stuck/overwhelmed by Pinterest so would love to see how other people have done theirs please! Despite my best efforts, she loves pink and I was thinking aqua/green would be a good contrast. She also loves animals. I did wonder about plain walls and using accessories for colour - but if you can't have fun wallpaper when you're three, when can you?!

So, what do your kids' bedrooms look like?

Oh I love the trees too. The dds bedroom is the room in the house I'm most happy with. I would post pic but they are asleep in it. They have two pale yellow walls and two pale pink. They chose the shades. They have white wooden bunk beds with matching wardrobe and chest of drawers which I had painted by the pine shop they came from.

Probably not as inspiring as many of the others! This is my daughter's last bedroom. It's quite a small room so kept it simple and just went with nice accessories. I am refurbing a new house now and in pinterest heaven (hell) with ideas for her new room so feeling your pain...

You can't see it but there was a small vintage wardrobe painted white to store her clothes.

Ooh suzy I love that chair - where did you get it? Also, is the bed toddler bed size? It's gorgeous.

I think pink and green are winning. Although dd told me this morning that she wants "4 walls pink. And 4 walls green" Grin
Dh's response was "interesting combination" so he will no longer be consulted!

I'm thinking to keep the walls plain and attempt to put her tree decal back up. I've already bought some quite colourful curtains so wallpaper might be a bit much... she has a white canvas teepee already too (hobbycraft. Bargain)

Keep them coming!

Hi,

The chair was from ebay but maisondumonde do a similar(ish) one in green..

The bed is your standard ikea toddler bed which was about £60 plus mattress. Happily it extends to be a full size single over time.

We are about to buy her another bed as we need the storage underneath so we're going to buy her this one which I am absolutely in love with...

Have you looked at LED lights around cupboards etc? We got some colour changing ones from Maplin. The room GLOWS and you can make it whatever colour you like. I've kept the rooms quite plain in paint terms, but decorated with a lot of coloured lights. Looks ACE.

DS1 room. I upcycled the bed and chest of drawers and made the name sign. It's a pirate theme and he is 4.

The bed is the IKEA extendable one and the cubes that I store the books in were also IKEA.

nonameinspiration · 28/02/2017 12:18

Super I love that tree can you link?

Longdistance · 28/02/2017 12:26

I'd love to post a photo, but their bedrooms are mainly magnolia and messy Blush

NoFucksImAQueen · 28/02/2017 12:34

Um I have no idea what the tree blossom photo is because I didn't post that. This is what was meant to post Confused

NoFucksImAQueen · 28/02/2017 12:35

Whoops wrong thread. I'll go back to bed now

NoFucksImAQueen · 28/02/2017 12:41

Dear the merry go round dh bought when he went to Prague and yes it's a wind up musical one. The lampshade was from wilkinsons for dirt cheap! I think £3 or less

rainforestsloth · 28/02/2017 12:59

My dd who is 7 has a double bed in her room I bought the headboard off eBay and painted it aqua. The wardrobe is from our local auction (£5) and painted it to look like Amsterdam canal houses (well that was the idea 😉) and used the ribba picture ledges from Ikea to make a display area for books and knicks knacks.
