If your shed is blue or green, what paint did you colour it?

Trying to decide what colour to paint my new shed. Options are a light green or sea side blue. If anyone has any suggestions and a picture I'd be very grateful.

Awful title. I mean what paint colour and make did you use. Sigh.

I'm thinking these sort of colours.

I used Sikkens Cetol BL Opaque paint which you can buy in Dulux Decorator centres.

Its an outstanding outdoor paint in many colours. I painted my shed and gates and trellis in my back yard with it in a light green.

They will last years with this paint.

I pumped my shed last year dh did the work but I like the credit I used Lonsdale sage and stone inside the door. Dh added a window box and fancy scalloped fascia board made from plywood I flipping love it

Lighteningirll · 15/04/2016 18:32

Sorry! Blush

My shed and fence are the same as the third picture you posted. For the life of me I can't remember what brand or colour it is Confused I can remember what the tin looks like though so I'll have a quick look.

It went on really well (did need two coats) and it's also been on 2 years and there's been no flaking or anything. Have been pleasantly surprised!

GingerFoxInAT0phat · 15/04/2016 18:37

It was Cuprinol paint in 'Seagrass'
Really pretty.

ABetaDad1 · 15/04/2016 18:38

My shed and gates are painted exactly the same green as your third photo.

mithy · 15/04/2016 18:57

Cuprinol Shades have a site where you can put up a picture of a shed and pick which colour you want it. I've just done my DD's old garden furniture in Willow and bought loads of £1 match pots from Wilkos and mixed lots of colours together to do my bench and bird table. It's smashing stuff.

cosmicglittergirl · 15/04/2016 19:00

Thanks all! Seagrass was one of the ones I'm looking at.

We've just bought the Cuprinol shades range. A brighter blue though - beach blue. Just waiting for some dry weather.

RedBlu · 16/04/2016 08:57

we did our shed in Beach Blue, it's BRIGHT!

cosmicglittergirl · 16/04/2016 11:14

I really want coastal mist by culprinol, but DH wants green. Green does seem more popular. Have you Beach Blue people got any pics?

Only the tin! It's too wet to paint yet!

RedBlu · 16/04/2016 11:52

Still peeing it down here but this is a sample of our Beach Blue Shed.

If your shed is blue or green, what paint did you colour it?
reup · 16/04/2016 11:55

Only the more popular shades are in big tins in DIY shops - we had to get ours online.

cosmicglittergirl · 16/04/2016 12:09

Ooh, Beach Blue looks good.
Off to get some tester pots I think

Pale turquoise to match the pool

TheLesserSpottedBee · 16/04/2016 14:51

Mine looks exactly like the 3rd photo.

It is Cuprinol Garden shades and I am repainting it this year.

It doesn't look bad at all it just needs freshening up. I painted it 5 years ago when it was first erected.

movingonup2015 · 18/04/2016 11:00

cuprinol seagrass

If your shed is blue or green, what paint did you colour it?
cosmicglittergirl · 18/04/2016 11:25

Moving, is that yours? Looks quite blue for Seagrass.

OP posts:
movingonup2015 · 18/04/2016 12:10

Yep that's mine and yes its seagrass and I was very Hmm when I saw how blue it was! It's not as blue as the actual blue shades they do though if that makes sense and when the sun isn't shining directly onto it then it does look more of a green..

GeorgeTheThird · 18/04/2016 12:14

My shed is one of the Cuprinol colours. It is usually light green, but looks duck egg blue in some lights. So they do switch a bit from one to the other, I'd say.
