I think this may be one of the most boring houses I've ever seen

here

The house itself is nice I think, a boring but big garden, good basic outline - but the décor..........attack of the 'shove flowery wallpaper up and that will be interesting' combined with THE BIG LETTERS everywhere, a very disappointing kitchen and even some twigs and shit randomly in a vase.

Weird that painting everything magnolia and removing the owners belongings would actually make this a more interesting house!

I think this is a nice house, but a mean post. A few cosmetic alterations for me, but generally I would be thrilled with it.

My house is seventies style, scruffy with lots of half hearted half finished DIY jobs but family and friends like it. I wouldn't dare post a pic on here. I'd die of shame.

Perhaps op you could post a link of a house that was non-boring? Not being snarky, I am just interested.

I think the OP should post her own house for comparison Hmm

My house isn't for sale Grin. In any case as you may have guessed it has no letters or flowery feature walls.

Non-boring houses - hmmmmmm

This is not the prettiest house though the garden is lovely but the inside looks welcoming and individual (Though it does have twigs and shit in vases Wink)

I love that but I wouldn't have thought a house called River bank or on a street called river bank in York would be the easiest sell at the minute!

It makes me want to cry...because that's the price of a 3 bed where I live!

It looks like the ground rises up steeply and if it didn't flood at Christmas it's probably ok come what may but yes I take the point!

Waitrose - move North! York is a fab place for kids, decent schools etc and if your chosen occupation isn't available here it probably is available in Leeds........

I detest the décor, but aside from that nothing that a few grand wouldn't put right.
Most people hate my taste, think loud colours eclectic and bookish.
A home is what you make it.

That second house you posted looks a lot more boring than the first! And needs a lot more redecoration too....Hmm

My word, the price of both houses is obscene! And I say that as someone currently living in a leafy southern commuter belt, which I thought was, itself, very pricey. I wonder what my house would be worth, in this house pricing system? I could only rub my hands in glee!
Both nice houses, of course - and all respect to the owners, who have made them lovely.

Since when was it acceptable to post somebody's home on here and encourage others to slag it off?

As for 'removing the owners belongings' comment Hmm

Did you see the house that is on for £650k a substantial Georgian villa! Wow. I think the house op posted is pretty in offensive tbh.

Not at all sure why the OP is being taken up on this.

When someone posts on some weird-as-fuck purple/green house, no-one says it's a strange thing to post about. They all fall about laughing/liking/boaking, etc.

Yet this is seen as, er... out of order by some. Hmm

Its naff (B&M shopping trip again??), but not at all boring. Most new builds are just boxes but this does have more character to it than I was expecting.

Turn that bloody bed round in the flowery room though!

The River Bank house is just around the corner from me and it didn't flood at Christmas, by the way. Choose that one - it's nice here :)

Oh gosh. I love the house. Just needs some paint in a few rooms the kitchen

At least you won't forget where you are in the bathroom.

Not to my taste but it looks like us needs so little doing to it, and easy to maintain.... I'd be tempted!

I don't like big letters or "feature walls" but I still think that this property is very nice. If I were house hunting in York I'd view it.
