I think this may be one of the most boring houses I've ever seen

here

The house itself is nice I think, a boring but big garden, good basic outline - but the décor..........attack of the 'shove flowery wallpaper up and that will be interesting' combined with THE BIG LETTERS everywhere, a very disappointing kitchen and even some twigs and shit randomly in a vase.

Weird that painting everything magnolia and removing the owners belongings would actually make this a more interesting house!

Its not boring at all.Confused

FishOn · 24/02/2016 20:29

There's nothing in that house that a wallpaper stripper can't fix. Could be really nice.

NewLife4Me · 24/02/2016 20:34

who doesn't move into a house and decorate it anyway.
It's not my style and round here that would be less than half the price but York is expensive.

KitKat1985 · 24/02/2016 20:36

It looks okay to me. Does that mean I'm boring?! Though I admit I don't understand the need for the BATH sign etc

I just wish I had over half a million to spend on a house like that. Sigh.

runlulurun · 24/02/2016 20:36

Along with the sky, some of the flowery bits look photoshopped in anyway. E.g. the flowery wallpaper behind the fireplace in the lounge. So perhaps it's just an estate agents idea of lovely home decor!

TwatMagnet · 24/02/2016 20:36

The outside shots are photoshopped to fuck - I have a friend who does this to all of his pictures which are brilliant to start with and really don't need it. I do not understand why people do it - you can always tell.
As for the house - I'd move in quicker than shit off a stick. Is this something to be ashamed of? Blush

CheesyNachos · 24/02/2016 20:40

I like it.It is huge, conservatory, garden. Drool. I wish I had a house like that so much. .....all that space.

Decor, not 100% to my taste, but deffo liveable. Much nicer than my house, definitely.

velourvoyageur · 24/02/2016 20:46

ah, it's in the best city of the UK, it's got that going for it Grin

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 24/02/2016 20:51

Everyone wants to put their own stamp on a place when they move in anyway and what's wrong with twigs and shit in a vase? Mine looks quite arty in my front room.

MagratsFlyawayHair · 24/02/2016 20:54

Nothing wrong with it. Roomy, light, garden decent, I'd decorate to my taste but I'm not offended by it.

Lovelydiscusfish · 24/02/2016 20:56

It's much too expensive for what it is.
Other than that, it is a lovely home, of which I am sure the owners are very proud.

MarthaMonkeynuts · 24/02/2016 20:56

I like it. It's not boring, it's their taste. If you can't express your own taste in your own home, where can you?

MsMargaretCarter · 24/02/2016 20:58

I am definitely much more naff and boring than I thought as I really like the decor with the exception of the letters in the bathroom and the pink in the kitchen. Nice house.

MrsEricBana · 24/02/2016 20:59

Re the photoshopped sky, they photographed our house on a wet, overcast day then photoshopped in a sky like that and it just gave the impression that even on a fab day our garden would look damp and overcast - grrr.

AcrossthePond55 · 24/02/2016 20:59

Here they always tell you to make your house as 'neutral' as possible. Strip out ornaments, take down art and especially family photos, remove 'excess' furniture, paint over bright colours if one can afford to. Supposedly it makes the house look less like 'someone else's' and allows prospective buyers to 'imagine' their own things in the house. Looks to an extent like the owners tried to do the same with that house.

MrsEricBana · 24/02/2016 20:59

Feature wall inside the inglenook is v odd.

treaclesoda · 24/02/2016 21:02

Are those fake red apples on the tree in the front garden?

It's not my style but if whoever lives in it likes it, then they probably don't care what I think. Smile

ShesGotLionsInHerHeart · 24/02/2016 21:02

Wow, what a bitchy post about a perfectly nice house. Confused

DextersMistress · 24/02/2016 21:05

I like it.

There's no way those apples haven't been photoshopped onto that tree though!

StuffandBother · 24/02/2016 21:11

How nasty :/ I'd love to be able to afford a house like that, is that house not over most peoples budget? (or am I just a pauper?)

mathanxiety · 24/02/2016 21:18

I always want to take those big letters and rearrange them.

I like the house a lot and would use a bucket or two of wallpaper stripper immediately upon moving in, then get to work on the kitchen decor.

Ikeameatballs · 24/02/2016 21:23

I don't like the room where the bed blends into the wall, other than that I wouldn't think to comment.

lighteningirl · 24/02/2016 21:26

what an odd post it's fairly out there really with pink walls and purple stools it's not my taste but it's also not boring

Northernlurker · 24/02/2016 21:38

Those aren't apples , it's a rowan tree.

I'm sure they will be able to cope with my finding it tedious as judging by how many of you are keen they'll have no trouble finding a buyer Grin
