why aren't we getting viewings?

That says it all really, we've been on the market for about 15 month and have had 1 viewing in that time (yesterday) they loved the house, but haven't yet sold theirs.

Am I just being impatient?

Thanks

The bedroom photo showing the bed reflected in the mirror is good-makes the room look really spacious.

addictediam · 16/06/2012 18:55

ball our bathroom is a funny shape (big cupboard in it) so it looks odd from that angle!

More pictures added, now its just the living room to re stage and photograph.

what do you think of the redone kitchen and dining room? better? still need more/less?

Your photos are great. The pic of the kitchen makes it look better.

The best dining room shot is the one where you get a glimpse of the conservatory as well. Your ea wants shooting!

considering you seemed so against it (and made me cry, but thats just because i realised how bad it was and i'm very hormonal) that actually means alot reality. thanks

agree, new photos look fab, have them uploaded immediately if possible.

VivaLeBeaver · 16/06/2012 19:19

Honestly I think you will get viewings now. But I would use a different estate agent. A good one shouldn't have taken such bad photos in the first place but also should have realised what the problem is. They don't deserve your money.

GnocchiNineDoors · 16/06/2012 19:20

The photos you have taken make it seem like a different home! You need a photograph of kitchen, lounge, master bedroom, bathroom, entrance and garden, minimum.

It looks like a different house, Much more inviting. Well done. Now just to something about your EA!

oohermrs · 16/06/2012 19:33

New photos are great makes house look bigger and perfect for a family. You need to bin your estate agent as the photos they took did not do your home justice. Good luck - Phil Spencer would be proudSmile

hippoCritt · 16/06/2012 19:34

The difference in photos is amazing, your dining room is a million times better. I would be suspicious of no bathroom photo plus it's really nice. Your photos make it look much bigger, there is no indication of space available from EA photos. I also think you are very brave to askMN! Good luck with selling

only4tonight · 16/06/2012 19:35

Your house looks lovely from the new photos. The conservatory is def a selling point (your estate agent is a muppets for not including a photo). Though the first photo of the kitchen would put me off.

When you are in a place you can overlook bad points of you love a house. But you need to get people in the door so don't show negatives, or at least put a positive slant on them.

Good luck

reality its fine, like i said we NEED to move, I'm currently a prisioner in my home due to illness, were moving closer to my friends and mum who can help out with looking afer the dc and also driving me arond, we will also be within my walking distance to a park so i can take the dc out by myself. I realised that if things stay the way they were I would NEVER move and that really upset me. it wasn't you particularly!

take heart op - i think the house looks lovely and 1 month is really not that long

my dgf house was under offer at end of last year - the price had to be dropped several times and it was such hard work selling it - we were unhappy with the price achieved so in the new year spend a few thousand upgrading kitchen and bathroom and got an offer of 12k more straight away

VivaLeBeaver · 16/06/2012 19:54

Oh one month.

Didn't see your second post that said it was one not fifteen months!

addictediam · 16/06/2012 20:04

I've now uploaded the living room picture, its taken from a diffrent angle, I have a nuteral rug to go on the floor, I can get rid of teh baby crib in the corner.

its still looking quite empty tho, I can add another 2 seater sofa, but didnt want to put it under the bay window as it would detract from it?

how do I dress this room? Confused

OP posts:
addictediam · 16/06/2012 20:06

another sofa on the wall the picture is taken from? what to do with the alcoves behind the 3 seater? leave them plain? candles? its not wide enough to put a vase of flowers on.

MoaningMajestyReignsAgain · 16/06/2012 20:17

If you possibly can, could you look at getting new doors on the kitchen cupboards - my dad's house has what I suspect are the same units and it was done in about 1984/1985.

The new pictures are a massive improvement, bathroom and conservatory especially help.

GnocchiNineDoors · 16/06/2012 20:24

Id put the coffee table nearer to the sofa rather than all alone in the middle of the room

DamselInDisgrace · 16/06/2012 20:25

I'd put a rug on the living room floor. Would the neutral one do? It'll make it look warmer and more 'full'. The angle you've chosen in much better, and shows that it's not a tiny room.

ebbandflow · 16/06/2012 20:30

Wow-what a difference your pictures are to the ones taken by the estate agents. I wasn't expecting that-love your bathroom and bedrooms. Good luck.
