BeckyBrandonNeeBloomwood · 23/04/2012 17:14

Ooh it is lovely, I can see why you like it!

VioletsBehindTheDustbin · 23/04/2012 17:16

Tis very pretty....

....i'm very taken with the 'Chelsea pensioner winning a marathon' painting over the fireplace?? Confused

hellymelly · 23/04/2012 17:20

v. pretty I agree, console yourself with the fact that's not a lot of garden for the house or the price.

Siddhartha · 23/04/2012 17:21

its gorgeous and you should definitely put a cheeky offer in........ but, are you as fed up of seeing photos of the sellers lovely (or otherwise) furniture - rather than the actual dimensions and well litted-ness Hmm of the rooms as i am on property porn sites? my goat is got.

headfairy · 23/04/2012 17:24

siddharta I thought that too, where's the floor plan ffs? It's a £1million pound house, please at least let me look at a floor plan!

helly It's bigger than we have at the moment

It was on sale when we were house hunting two years ago, I was very tempted to book a viewing. I might have to this time :o

It does look lovely, but let's pretend there are some faults. Bet the wisteria is crumbling the brickwork so there'll be damp before too long, the flying freehold might be a hitch, and the estate agent calls it 'truly unique' so isn't a pedant, so that's obviously a sign of lack of attention to detail... um...

VioletsBehindTheDustbin · 23/04/2012 17:25

Be sure to have a good look at that painting .... there is someone's soul trapped in that i tell ye.

Oh blimey that's lovely. Envy

headfairy · 23/04/2012 17:33

Natasha granted the road isn't great, it's actually the A25, but it's pretty quiet during the day, and it's such a pretty village. A real chocolate box. I could live with it for that.

edam You're very kind but I bet it's bloody perfect.

violets I might have to book a viewing just to get a better look at that picture :o

poorbuthappy · 23/04/2012 17:34

That kitchen is crying out for an island!!

edam · 23/04/2012 17:42

Nah, an estate agent who calls something 'truly unique' is probably someone you can't trust. Grin He or she is probably not mentioning something like the body under the patio, or the horrible neighbours who worship Satan, or something!

headfairy · 23/04/2012 18:23

well edam It is odd that it should be back on the market so soon... perhaps it as really bad vibes. We have a house in our road I call the sad house because it was sold last year for an absolutely rock bottom price after the couple living there spectacularly seperated (think screaming rows in the street, lots of "I hate you, I wish you'd die") and I think they were desperate to sell up and move away from each other. I'm sure houses suck up bad vibes like that :o

LulaPalooza · 23/04/2012 18:27

Why does it look so different at the back? The roof tiles are even different? Or am I being thick?

It's really nice from the front. Confused

silverfrog · 23/04/2012 18:35

oooh, headfairy, you're just down the road from me Grin

it is a lovely village, although not hte best for commuting (if you have to).

house does look fab, but apart from the colour, I hate wisteria - it really crowds out a room (from the inside) - all dark and forbidding etc.

good luck in the lottery, though.

Northernlurker · 23/04/2012 18:38

It's probably falling down in secret. Friends of ours offered on a house that had fallen through a couple of times before with other buyers. Well you know - that happens. On commissioning a full survey they found so much work needed doing the house was unmortgagable! If it looks too good to be true - it is.

silverfrog · 23/04/2012 18:41

floorplan here

very small master bedroom.

DelGirl · 23/04/2012 19:41

there is only 1 bathroom for 6 bedrooms Hmm

BarryStar · 23/04/2012 21:09

No parking, you wouldn't want to live there despite the fact its bloody lovely

headfairy · 23/04/2012 23:12

There's a garage, and two bathrooms! Nah, it's no good. No ones managed to convince me it's not lovely Grin

OP posts:
DelGirl · 24/04/2012 06:28

yes but only 1 en-suite then 1 for the 6 other bedrooms, not good enough imho and who parks in a garage these days? Nah, it's rubbish Wink

mummytime · 24/04/2012 06:43

Okay faults: no state schools mentioned in the list of schools (and most 1Million house owners I know send their kids State). No bathroom in the Loft, not sure how you would squeeze one in either. The Utility is miles from the Kitchen.
Oh and it has a swimming pool, they do lower the cost, and with hose pipe bans can be a real liability.

Rhubarbgarden · 24/04/2012 21:33

Ooh. I like that. What's Bletchingley like? Where would you commute from? Redhill? Isn't Redhill supposed to be a bit rough? Is there a naice town nearby? {goes off to badger DH}

Rhubarbgarden · 24/04/2012 22:21

Headfairy! come back! Tell me about the area! I need to know - NOW. Seriously interested in this house Smile!
