Found a house I love but only up for rent!! Not or sale WWYD?

Should I phone the rental agent and ask if the vendor would consider selling?? Think would be at the top of our budget but I really like ie!

I clicked your link and it took me to rightmove using the app. In the bar at the top it says for sale or for rent. Then under the main photo it says 5 bedroom house for sale. Sorry can't link on phone.

I'm slightly confused by the listing patti posted:
It's obviously the same house but the bathrooms are different and so is the furniture - kitchen is the same though!

My sister approached people in the village she lived (and wanted to stay) in who had their house up for rental.
It transpired that the vendor had accepted a job offer abroad and really wanted to sell, but couldn't risk the sale not going through quickly before they left the country.
They snapped up Dsis's offer and sale went through really quickly

Love all the character but it looks like it would be a nightmare to heat and looks like it has an odd layout - it would take loads of furniture to try and make the living room look cosy. The bathrooms are gorgeous.
