Should I phone the rental agent and ask if the vendor would consider selling?? Think would be at the top of our budget but I really like ie!

OOOoooo that's nice. Why not make the call? What harm could it do. If nothing else you get a big fat no and you can park in your fantasy corner instead of chewing yourself up about it. :)

AKissIsNotAContract · 29/01/2012 16:09

Worth making them an offer, do you have an idea of what it's worth though?

Auntiestablishment · 29/01/2012 16:16

I would go round it and see if I liked it before going for it getting too excited.

SparkleSoiree · 29/01/2012 16:19

It is a lovely house..

HarriettJones · 29/01/2012 16:26

I expect they are moving temporarily, hence the rent rather than sell.

bradbourne · 29/01/2012 16:30

Go and look around... if you still like it as much as you think, why not ask if they would consider selling? What have you got to lose?

(lovely looking house, btw).

NickNacks · 29/01/2012 16:30

It said for sale when I looked...

Auntiestablishment · 29/01/2012 16:36

This is for sale and lovely. Not 4-beds, either: 4/5 plus 2-bed barn conversion as well.

MadameCastafiore · 29/01/2012 17:08

Says 720k on zoopla which we could just about stretch to. Is deffo not for sale. Will ring tomMorow and see what they have to say!

MadameCastafiore · 29/01/2012 17:08

The other one with the barn conversion thing isn't really to my taste auntie!

Auntiestablishment · 29/01/2012 17:10

How contrary, Madame. Wink

MadameCastafiore · 29/01/2012 17:27

Really? You like all that wood? Can you imagine dusting it - would be covered in yellow fluff from the duster.

OldLadyKnowsNothing · 29/01/2012 17:28

That's a very fulsome description, you don't usually get so much detail on a rental. I think it may have been for sale, but not sold. Can't hurt to ask.

Auntiestablishment · 29/01/2012 17:29

I do actually, though not so keen on the brick.

Cleaning would be a nuisance, though, I'll give you that; it would just have to be dusty. :-)

MamaMaiasaura · 29/01/2012 17:31

It says property for sale or to rent. So it is on the market

MadameCastafiore · 29/01/2012 17:34

Where does it say that (for sale I mean?) - I love the style of the house and would be a great move asw would mean that our outgoings in terms of time/travel etc stay the same!

OP posts:
Gonzo33 · 29/01/2012 17:50

It is a lovely house OP, call them, you know you want to!

MadameCastafiore · 29/01/2012 17:56

I think I will ring.

Still can't find where it says is for sale or rent though!

OP posts:
Snowbeetle · 29/01/2012 18:01

It is under the 'rent' tab - its rent. Maybe nicknacks just got confused with all the 00000's Wink

MadameCastafiore · 29/01/2012 18:03

Poop - was hoping I had just missed the fact that it was for sale!

OP posts:
TwoStepsBack · 29/01/2012 18:05

It's a beautiful house - I hope they are willing to sell it. I also thought that the description was too detailed for a rental property and it may have been up for sale previously.

Good luck.

runtybunty · 29/01/2012 19:09

You never get that much detail with a rental property and if you google the road name it comes up on rightmove and primelocation as for sale but the listings have been removed. An enquiry can't hurt, good luck!

MadameCastafiore · 29/01/2012 19:15

Can someone please post link for me am googling like mad but can't get it!
