Anyone used The London Door Co. ?

Hi, I'm on the lookout for a new front door, and I was wondering if anyone has used The London Door Company? If so what was your experience of them? I've had a few quotes from different places but would like to hear from an existing customer before spending the cash.

Another contender for my custom is TimberWindows who also do doors. Both companies have such a very similar offering, and the price quoted is very similar too. It's a lot of money I'll be spending, and I know very little about either company. I suppose new doors are bought so seldomly, I don't know anyone in RL who's done it recently.

I used the London Door Company and my french windows don't close properly and never did, the windows they made have ALL rotted, they used cheap wood, and the design has encouraged water to sit on the wood. When I tried to ask for them to come and have a look they refused to do anything about it. They are all very nice when you are buying but once you have paid there is no care whatsoever.

I have received recently quote from woodandhome.co.uk to supply and fit front door with side glass panels for 2.5k, different colour from both sides - happy with installation and quality :)

I wouldn’t touch them after I have developed so many problems with their work and they have refused to make good. French doors that don’t fit and now are difficult to open and close, windows have rotted. I am now having to slowly replace all their work with a completely new company.

I wouldn’t go near them. The doors look lovely but they don’t fit properly and when I called to ask for them to look at the problems, they were not interested. I have ended up replacing them.

We’re currently looking to upgrade our front door and are leaning towards something with a Victorian style to suit our home in South East London. While doing some research, I came across Victorian Front Door Company (https://www.victorianfrontdoor.co.uk), and their doors look absolutely stunning.
Has anyone here used their services before? If so, I’d love to hear about your experience! How was the process, and are you happy with the final result?

if you read reviews of the company online you will see they a fair number of terrible reviews.

Dam it, this is an old thread, I was enjoying reading that, don’t know about anyone else, but when I read through people’s reviews about companies, like those on here, I have this very prim and serious middle aged women’s voice in my head, or pompous old male twit, I think it comes from watching the program ’points of view’ in the 90s. 😂

Beware - high cost with no customer service. Paintwork that they applied has blistered and they say it isn't their responsibility or part of any guarnetee
Cannot recommend - stay clear
