Are they just pots of herbs and spices?
If so no good for me, I have a well stocked spice cupboard and grow plenty of herbs

Lilyofthewally · 15/10/2022 16:22

You get the recipe cards, plus flavour pots and yes, individual spice mixes etc.The beauty is that you get exactly what you need for each dish, plus the flavour pots are really authentic mixes, not just your normal cupboard spices that people may generally have.It may not be for everyone, but for me,it's great as you get exactly the right mixes in the right quantities for each dish.I have really enjoyed the recipes and the flavours of curries, middle Eastern dishes etc have been really great tasting.

I really like the easiness of the recipes, but the lovely meals you get.I am not the best at making authentic tasting curries,Italian dishes etc,but this takes a lot of the hard work out of it and there are lots of ideas which I would have never thought of tbh.

Put this in promo please, that's where they go not in chat.

Turnaroundandigone · 15/10/2022 16:36

I agree. Simply cook is great. Exdp saw an ad and said we should try them, I wasn't convinced but they are fantastic and the recipie cards are easy to follow and easy to adapt to your individual tastes.

Lilyofthewally · 15/10/2022 16:38

I only tried it after using someone's code from here, and hadn't had any particular interest in trying a recipe kit,but have really enjoyed it,and have kept using it at least 1 recipe a week.

We had the chilli earlier-delicious and so much better than one from a jar or one that I could have made without the spuce mixes.

We have recently become Simplycook fans and really look forward to at least one every weekend. If I could recommend my 2 fave dishes so far,i would pick the goan fish curry and the crispy chilli beef, absolutely delicious.

Lilyofthewally · 28/10/2022 18:39

Thanks to everyone who has used my code so far,it still works if anyone wants a box completely free! Our favourites at the minute include firecracker chicken noodles and the Mexican pulled chicken,so much cheaper than a takeaway and less fattening.

I've chosen the coronation chickpea pie (sounds interesting!),Yemeni lamb pilaf, burrito bowl and Indian spiced lentil burger. We are trying to cut down on the amount of meat we are eating due to health and money reasons,so thanks for thread as I have been stuck in a bit of a rut recently, trying to keep things relatively exciting 😀
