Kids travel free this half term with South Western Railway

Kids travel for free this half term with South Western Railway, meaning you can take the family on a great day out, and there will even be money leftover for ice creams, too.

Roam the ancient woods of the New Forest, get the sand between your toes on Bournemouth beach, or discover new heights at Portsmouth’s Spinnaker Tower. You could even head to London and tuck into street food on the South Bank or travel through time at the British Museum.

Kids travel for free between 19 May to 2 June. Tickets available now.

Disappointed to see MNHQ has changed policy and has decided to use emojis in thread titles.

I know some user should do it, but after the many, many times it has been pointed out that it can bugger up the display for users of some assistive technology, most MNetters refrain. And as it has been thrashed out in Site Issues, I thought MNHQ were aware, and (until now) also deliberately refrained.

It’s a shame South Western trains don’t give consideration for children going to school or sixth-form college by train - they’ve had consultations to reduce the stopping services the children use, so they can increase the number of fast commuter trains from the large towns to/from Waterloo.

Oops Blush thanks very much for flagging, I have removed the emoji from the title of this thread and will make sure to keep them out in the future, too.
