The best Black Friday deals

AliceDMumsnet · 09/11/2018 15:13

Black Friday is the shopping event of the year, with huge sales from loads of brands giving savvy shoppers the chance to get their hands on some serious bargains in the run up to Christmas. This year, Black Friday falls on 23 November 2018 and after the success of last year’s live Black Friday thread, the Mumsnet shopping team will once again be here from dawn ‘til dusk on the day helping you find the very best online deals.

Feel free to post any great deals you come across in this thread. If you’re strapped for time, let us know what you’re looking for and we will try our best to source a deal for you.

This year, we’ve partnered with AO.com to bring Mumsnetters great Black Friday deals on tech, electricals and appliances both big and small. AO is an online electrical store who offer free delivery and returns - as well as next day delivery seven days a week. They also offer a fuss free recycling service for your old appliances. We’ve rounded up some of our favourite deals from AO, but if you find the same product for less elsewhere, just let AO know and they will match the price - even if you’ve already bought it. If the price of your Black Friday purchase drops any further AO will refund you the difference.

*delivery charges apply to Northern Ireland

Quick reminder of how this works: we've selected these deals by scouring the web for bargains that we think MNers will love. We can’t guarantee that every single product has been at its 'pre-Black Friday price' for more than 30 days, but we only pull out offers that seem to us like genuinely good deals on products we know MNers rate.

We do get a small referral % if you happen to buy through these links and, if you post a fantastic offer but don't include a link, MNHQ may edit your post so that other users can easily find it.

FREE DELIVERY TOO

ShortyShortLegs · 23/11/2018 22:49

I haven't got time to RTFT, but, Apple are offering a £40 gift voucher with some items to spend on your next purchase - iPad 9.7 2018 being one of them...I've purchased the iPad, as soon as I get my £40 voucher (emailed at point of dispatch) I am going to purchase an Apple pencil, usually £89, for £49! And the delivery is free!!

Whyisitsodifficult · 23/11/2018 22:51

Missed the two controllers Xbox one s deal in Tesco today. Is that it now or do you think they’ve held some back for Cyber Monday? 🤔

systemwwr · 24/11/2018 05:49

Clicked several times on the instant pot link yesterday but never got it at 79.99, hoping it'll come up for that elsewhere?

Looking for;
Low priced cordless hoover
Steam mop
Air fryer
Security camera or ring doorbell (which is best?)
A good 30 day mobile contract
Good value 4K tv

Any recommendations of brands or best place to buy?

Three are doing a 12 month sim only unlimited everything for just £20 a month.

RockYourSocksOff · 24/11/2018 08:39

Shorty, I haven’t rtft either so this might have already been mentioned, we bought the 9.7 (2018) iPad from Very who were offering a £50 credit into your account if you opt for the ‘buy now pay within 12 months’ deal, which is interest free if you pay off the balance within that time. The credit will be used towards paying the balance.

I was toying with the idea of the pencil but I’m not quite sure Ds would get much use out of it.

Chocrock · 24/11/2018 09:05

Amazon have about 40% off Shark cordless vacuums

LtJudyHopps · 24/11/2018 10:03

Whyisitsodifficult considering Tesco no longer have a website you can order from I highly doubt they will partake in cyber Monday.

WardrobeDoor · 24/11/2018 10:36

Amazon have half price SodaStreams today - down to £40

DressingOnTheSide · 24/11/2018 11:33

Wardrobe I recommend Sodastream's own bundle for anyone wanting more than 1 bottle/CO cylinder - it's the same machine and you get an extra CO2 cylinder (worth over £20) and 2 small and 2 large additional bottles to the 1 large one in the basic pack for the £72.

BonNu1tAlskling · 24/11/2018 12:21

I lost my beautiful Tom Ford Glasses on holiday this year and my husband has just bought them as a surprise early Christmas present from www.designerglasses.co.uk/. I'm so happy I'm inspired to do the rest of my shopping this weekend! There are so many good deals online. Grin Thanks for the tips mumsnetters!.

MadeForThis · 24/11/2018 12:56

The best Black Friday deals
Rarfy · 24/11/2018 14:20

@systemwwr would recommend lg 4k tv and they seem to be on a lot of black friday deals.

MrsChollySawcutt · 24/11/2018 14:21

To the poster looking for an air fryer try the Philips website as they usually have good Black Friday deals and their airfryers are usually rated best by Which. I bought ours this way last year.

poppyseed2 · 24/11/2018 14:43

Just set up my new Sonos speaker in the playroom, thanks @CharlotteBMumsnet

MrsGollach · 24/11/2018 15:22

Clarks voucher isn't for 30% btw.

AllTakenSoRubbishUsername · 24/11/2018 15:24

My son wants the Harry Potter Kano Wand and the Kano Computer kit, hoping to find some deals on those!

ajandjjmum · 24/11/2018 15:26

MrsGollach - I think it stopped at 1 pm. Sad

MissMarplesKnitting · 24/11/2018 15:28

Kano have done offers on most things but not the wand.

We want one here too

Butterymuffin · 24/11/2018 15:43

Can anyone recommend offers on make up sets or beauty advent calendars that would appeal to teenagers?

MrsGollach · 24/11/2018 15:53

ajandjjmum - Clarks is still on but it's not 25%, not 30%. It's on all weekend.

MrsChollySawcutt · 24/11/2018 16:07

Some ideas for teen makeup. DD15/16 approves of all of these;

BH Cosmetics has some great sets in their sale. Not a well known brand but it's really good quality and stocked by Beauty Bay which is a major source of teen makeup. I can vouch for the brush sets too. Prices in dollars but posted within the UK so no customs charges.

B H Cosmetics]]

And Beauty Bay have 30% off most stock at the moment including their new 'going out out' palette

Beauty Bay

Tarte is also worth a look, some good bundles on offer plus 25% for Cyber Weekend with code WEEKEND

Tarte Cyber Weekend
