I have been using by miles for over 9 months now and thought it would be good to provide an update on how their insurance was going from a real customer.

So far, I have only had one issue and it was quickly fixed. It had been raining heavily and the GPS thought that I was 1 mile further than I actually was. This would only cost 10p but I thought I would mention in to them on the live chat and they kindly removed the journey and gave it to me for free!

In comparison to my previous car insurers, I would have paid over £300 more in bills at this stage whereas with this service I've just paid the upfront fee and the small cost whenever I drive the car. I can't recommend it enough.

Something strange happens: ByMile gave me a quote a week ago (via Moneysupermarket) , but now it has stopped! I am rejected both directly and via MoneySupermarket. They says that their underwriter has some criteria that they cannot insure me.

Does anyone else experienced the same? To reiterate: this is a new thing. It worked ok before August.
